Eye contact

A number of things I think:

- Your energy may be a little low for now
- You may doubt yourself since you went off track recently
- There may be some shame or guilt around your porn use

Don't let it get to you though. Any day we go off track, is actually a great opportunity to learn.

Think of it this way... If you go off track and a make a change to improve your next try, you're only going to improve.

The more you improve, the better you'll feel. The better you feel, the more likely you are to connect with people. The more you connect with people, the better you feel. And then you improve further, and so on... It takes time but it gets better!

 

In my opinions. We stay away from eye contact because we are filled with shame. I know Ive realized that I stayed away from eye contact because I afraid that they would see "the real ,sick me" there's this fear of being caught .
I know for me the type of things I would tell myself in shame are things like " Ugh in disgusting , and if people knew what I was doing they would be disgusted " so maybe you stay away from eye contact for fear of being "found out "

I know for me , being over 500 days sober I can give anyone eye contact and there is now uncomfortable with it. I like who I am now. I'm proud of myself now , and I'm confident with who I am now. And I think that's a big reason why eye contact is no big deal anymore

 

Is funny, because before getting addicted to PMO, I used to stare at people's eyes so hard that some people even told me it made them uncomfortable, then nowdays I cannot maintain eye contact for long, I still feel inside like I want to just keep it, but I don't...

I used to be an over-confident person back then, now is like i'm at the other extreme....PMO can truly destroy you...
