I've just failed my 9 day streak and I feel awful with myself. I was doing so well but I slipped up, ended up breaking it. Is there any tips on what to do when I start slipping down again? Video games were working for me but I let my mind wonder and next thing I know I was looking at p*rn. Felt great during it but a second or so afterwards I felt horrible like I've let myself down. This is the furthest I've got, other times I've only lasted a few days.

It’s part of the process, my friend. Just accept it, motivate yourself again and start again. I’m sure next time you will pass the 9 days. :)

  4. Well, why did you fail? Maybe you can learn from the experience and get better for the next time! Try meditation or other hobbies maybe - don't give up though. You can get there, lots of other people have done as well.

Someone here brilliantly said to write down how and why you slipped up, makes you catch yourself out the next time you slip into a similar situation.

9 day streak is another achievement on your road to porn-free life - don't get discouraged, many fell before you or even after longer streaks. Please remember that failure often brings recognition and allows you to identify your weak points - learn from your mistakes, get up and keep on fightin'. Here is a quote from Stephen McCranie that you might find encouraging:
“The master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried.”

    Godspeed!
