    Im 62 days in nofap.
When I sit alone or I am laying in my bed I find myself fantasizing about a girl I like and I almost always end up getting semi erection or a full erection.

However when I am in public, I dont feel horny when I see women. I have zero libido when Im in public places but I get boners when I fantasize.

Am I recovering? Is this normal?

It will delay the process bro,
Nothing wrong in fantasizing - but it will delay your reboot.
Nothing wrong with edging - but it will delay your reboot even more.
The purpose of reboot is to make your mind deficient of dopamine rush through sex or erections,
but rather find other sources of dopamine like excercising, eating etc. :)
You have to make a choice, whether you want to get healed sooner or later.
If sooner , then stop fantasizing or edging, just dont touch your penis at all.
If later, then keep fantasizing and edging, and you will just delay the result of your hard work :)

Like @Ghost_Rider said, it will delay your progress. When you fantasise dopamine is released in the brain, that's why it feels so good and why our brains seek it when it's bored. Fantasising for a porn addict is like cocaine addicts sniffing a single crystal of cocaine at a time. Just because it's not a full dosage of what you are addicted to doesn't mean it's good for your rehabilitation, in fact it's the opposite.

Your becoming more sensitive so that shows progress but try not to fantasize. It makes success harder and slows down reboot.
Congrats on 62, your doing great keep it up!

    Kinda along what everyone said:
    - Avoid it.
    - Slows down recovery

I think that's awesome you've recovered in that time frame. That seems more libido than urges. I mean what more do you want to achieve? Not saying quit this journey, but I feel like once you're at that stage, you'd easily be able to get an erection come the real deal. Congrats.

    Its slows down recovery.

Anyways when I am sleepy and have to do some work I fantasise for some time and after that the sleepiness goes away... Pretty cool huh?

I was reading a post in a similar thread where the guy mentioned that he was able to stay more present and in the here and now with women during dates that he had had.

This is what I'm aiming for because it always feel like I ruined my chances because I get so excited and creep out the girl.i'm hoping that if I'm really able to rewire my brain then I'll be able to be natural say during the date but also be capable of healthy arousal should things go further later on with that girl.

yeah, i think you mean me. i'm pasting my response from the other thread here

yeah man, very strict. its tough at first because we have no control, but its like a muscle, gets stronger over time.

women dont make it easy either.... the more you control your automatic sexual response the more you see women for who they are, their personality etc. it drives women crazy when you dont respond to their beauty like the 100 guys they meet everyday. they start chasinghard because they need to satisfy their ego that they 'got you' like they are used to getting other guys

tough to stay arousal-free when they start laying it on...

Yeah, who would've known fantasizing can deplete dopamine. Say this only 10 years ago and you would've been locked up for spreading heresy. Psychology is progressing on the subject of dopamine deficiency, but very slowly and still not accepted by most. We are just beginning to realize so many things that does harm to our brains that we just took for granted. I really hate being born in this era. I think the highest population with dopamine imbalances come from the 70/80's. We all grew up in the Technology boom and there was zero awareness at the time on internet addiction, video games and porn etc. We just went crazy and really messed things up.
