Both are addictions and both work the same way in the brain. The effects of each might be different on the body, but they fuck up relationships, friendships, things related to work.

 

Big difference is that if you enter a building and say "I've got a problem with alcohol", all people will cheer at your courage of admitting the problem, will offer you help, if you enter the same building and say "I've got a problem with porn" they will laugh at you, they will say you've got no problem and you're imagining things, because porn is "natural" and "healthy".
So the main difference is that nobody see our problem as a real problem, they will just say that if we have a problem than we can turn off the pc, but you would not say to a drug-addict that he just has to avoid pushers and he will be ok.
So we life in the shame, nobody say in here what his name is, nobody where he lives, how it looks like.
Sex is everywhere, in all film there's at least a nude scene, we are seen as weird, so nobody want to take us seriously, because my friend, with internet, and IG, facebook, and so on, I think that at least 7/10 men have a problem with porn and masturbation, and admitting will ruin the comfort in which the world is living, in which many so-called psychologist say that everything is natural
