My favorite genre was Vintage porn. From the 70s and 80s

You have fallen into an intellectual trap, a lot of people fall into, in this place.

Sure, you have desensitized to what you first used to get your dopamine high. It is the "dopamine high" you are addicted to. Understand this, know this. You have used porn to force a neurological reaction. That neurological reaction occurs naturally, but when you get it with porn, it us unnaturally intense, prolonged, and profound. We, humanity, get that reaction from thinking about sex. That is an evolved, natural, reward, neurological reward, dopamine reward, that motivates us to do the one thing nature demands every species to, to survive as a species: make babies. That neurological reward is what some call the sex drive, and without it, humans would be extinct.

What you are discussing is the same thing that goes on in a drug addict's brain: sensitization (most start at vanilla porn), desensitization (vanilla porn becomes somewhat boring to us/translation: it quits getting us the dopamine high it did, in the beginning), escalation (we have to move on to a different "genre" to get the dopamine high, and that genre must be somewhat shocking to us, and may have elements of aggression to it, at lease more than vanilla porn). Like a drug addict, that first hit may be heaven, but, given time, they need more of the thing they are hitting to get to heaven.

You don't have to be addicted forever. There is a before and after to this addiction, which, again, is not to porn or any genre of it, but to the neurological reward you can use it to produce. Get Educated. I will make all the difference.

My typical genres have been Vintage 80s porn, Big Breasts and Lesbian Porn.

I have escalated from watching straight porn to hiring escorts. When I watch a man fucking someone who would normally never give me the time of day, I end up imitating him by paying for sex. Lesbians do not need my cock, so I can watch them without parting with my money.

Still, even though Lesbian porn may be "less bad" than other porn genres, it does not make porn good for me, good for my life or help me become the man that I have set out to be.
