Feeling like I'm being harsh on myself not letting me watch porn or M without porn.

    Hey guys, hope everyone's getting through this difficult process alright.

    I've found more recently I have smaller urges but my reasoning is becoming less strong as to why I shouldn't indulge. I was nearly like fuck it today but luckily I have a good friend who went a year without cigarettes so knows the addiction process.

    Any tips on solidifying why I should be doing this?

    Also what's the consensus on Ming without P? I started doing it for a few weeks as I know M is good for the body, I used my imagination. When I read about semen retention and sexual transmutation though I went back to no PMO.

    Hope everyone's achieving their goals.

    Having a strong reason for quitting is critical for success. I have my own reasons, but a lot of them are personal and may or may not apply to you.

    A good place to start would be asking yourself these questions: When/how did you start doing PMO? How has it changed you sexually or non sexually? Can you honestly say that you aren't addicted to it? How would you be different if you never did it?

    As far as M without P, it is healthy for people who don't have any sort of problem with P. For people who do which is almost everyone on this forum, it is something that will inevitably lead to escalation and should be avoided.

  3. I treat M the same way I treat P. When I stop watching P, but keep letting myself M, there is no difference in how often I do it. I'm still addicted to the act of M, so I don't have the luxury of being able to discard one but keep the other.

    my doctor said M is ok if done twice a week, more is bad. And that porn is bad too.

    but for me, I dont like to M without P. And for others, if they start M, they slowly go back to P. so it's up to how disciplined you are
     
  5. I don't need P in order to MO. I can MO with just pure feeling alone (no fantasizing, no imagining). Even though that's true, I still wouldn't even do MO because of the post-ejaculatory side-effects.
     
  6. If you are going to M, own it. Be in charge of it. Find a time and a place in which you feel comfortable doing it and can relax afterwards.
    It's your body and your choice.

    success is a dangerous opportunity! The sad truth is that after a period of abstinence amnesia sets in. We forget how bad matters got during addiction to PMO.
    Keep doing what you are doing Glider. Remember how bad things were. Then reflect on what you have gained over the last 139 days.
    In my opinion masturbation is evil. It is a distortion of sexuality. Fapping is bad for the body and mind. Stay away from it with or without porn.
    I respect other people's contrary opinions. But I believe that a no compromise approach is best.
