@Jennifer your bfs response is normal. Of course he would flip out for what you have been doing behind his back. It is equivalent to cheating. I flipped out and I know almost all the other significant others did to. I'm sure you would've reacted the same way if the roles were reversed. The point is that you have now become honest with him. He is angry, which is to be expected but you told him instead of him discovering it for himself and that may have resulted in him leaving for good. Now he has the opportunity to decide how to handle this information bc you were honest, which shows that he may eventually trust you again. No one said it would be easy, but you made the best step forward and opened up the secrecy and admitted to the lies. That may be worth it for him to stick around. Don't assume it is over with him bc he reacted exactly like all of us did. He will probably want to know more about your addiction. Point him in the direction of yourbrainonporn.com and the Ted talks video so he can process the addiction as it is rather than just all emotion.
