Feminism calls for hate

I feel the opposite! One of the amazing things about these forums is how folk with such different belief sets can still support each other.

 

Femminism is great, its the activists that call for hate.

 

Well, there is no one "feminism". The term means different things to different people, some of which contradict each other completely. But there are some elements in this movement which annoy me.

 

I'm a huge believer in complete and unqualified equality between the sexes, which I think should be the fundamental first principle behind the feminist cause.

I'm not a fan of the feminist movement, however, at least not the more militant wing of it, as it seems to believe that two wrongs somehow make a right.

Like many an '-ism', feminism tends to prefer absolutes over more nuanced arguments, and dogma over free thought.

 

Well in my opinion the premise of frminism while it may be right when it comes to equal rights for men and women, the truth of the matter is there is no equality on both ends.

Women in the U.S. and free countries have all the same rights and freedoms as men, except the perspective is different, whereas a man sleeps with multiple women is called a "Real man" and a woman who does the same is called a whore.

And on the flip side women can pretty much hit men and ppl would laugh about it, yet if a man even puts a finger on a woman he is called a monster. Even in self defense.

Statistically feminists are bothered by rape yet they don't defend the rights of men who get raped, which is a lot more than women believe it or not, in jail men get raped more often than women in every day life.

When it comes to equal pay, I dont doubt some employers might discriminate against women and pay them less then men, but in most cases it is that women are self entitled and wish to make more money regardless of the amount of effort from their end, sometimes a guy works all nighters while she leaves early to pick up the kids from school or go to some activity for their children. Men are often absent of home to make that extra cash or get a promotion, women often don't do that, so their lack of ambition is the main reason they dont get equal pay.

And last but not least, men are put through a lot of crazy debt when it comes to their children, while the court doesnt put any fees on the mother, he has to carry all the weight and this has lead to severe cases of depression and suicide. A man can't even get the custody of a child if he tried, a woman will always win no matter what.

 

It's a difficult one because it depends on the person carrying the message. Some people are able to seperate their emotions from the arguments or debates and others lead with emotion in all facets of life. Anyone can call themselves a feminist but really there isn't a rule book as far as i'm aware. It's like religion isn't it, a set of ideals which one aspires to and a lens through which to view the world around them and some people are casual about it and others go to extremes.

 

Because gender equality wasn't a thing and even today people want to do away with it.

But really feminism has been over discussed on this forum anyway.
