I believe in a Higher Power however I have never believed in a life after death and I know that goes against perceived wisdom but that's my take on it anyway. I needed to read what you wrote because YES life is short and it will soon be the end. Even if I live another 50 years (I'm 43 now) it is still only a blink of an eye in the entire span of time. Congratulations on your 90 days and beyond. You've done brilliantly.
Sounds very natural to me. Personally, I'm yet to relapse but I do not pay much attention at all to the number of days. I'm not against numerical targets, but more as rearview-mirror double-checks than "goals" in themselves, since the actual goal is internal, for me. To me, the counting is mostly external, and as such a bit superficial; moreover, I cannot rely on hoped-for brain plasticity alone. Instead, I focus on my spiritual reasons for rebooting, which undercut any serious temptations better than anything else for me. If I had to go just on what I could _not_ do in a reboot, I'd no doubt have relapsed already. It's (beginning to feel I could be) living my life that I focus on, or in other words, I'm most concerned with the health of my inner life, since it's far better at controlling my outer life than my body is -- if that makes sense. BTW, I've done a sugar and starch "reboot" already (indefinitely, though not 100%) and it's VERY healthy indeed! Best of (continued) success, guy!
Congratulations on your 90 days. FYI, guys often continue to see improvements in their state of mind for a year or more. So, stick with it. And if you masturbate, don't use internet porn. The things that help the most are exercise, meditation, time in nature, socializing, staying offline, and beneficial stressors like cold showers or intermittent fasting. But you have to do them daily to help regulate your mood and get your brain back in balance. Have you watched this vid? "Your Brain On Porn: How Internet porn affects the brain"
