I don't know guys, but for me, the first 7 days are really very hard. Cravings and urges are very big. Mentally I am weak. After relapse I feel very bad.

Then, the 8-14 days are hard, but not so hard like first 7 days.

From the 14 day I feel that I have more control. I feel urges and cravings, but I feel that I can handle them much better than first 2 weeks.

    How about your experience?

It's difficult to keep a disciplinated NoFap life, but it is possible. The benefits are worth the difficulties, keep going!

  3. I agree with you, man. The first 14 days are very difficult and depressing.

In addition to the actual task of overcoming the disease, you feel very unstable and fragmented, almost schizoid.

I believe there is alot of anecdotal evidence suggesting that the first couple of weeks are the primetime for relapses, which is obvious because the prognosis of the disease is still in its acute stage; and even psychologically, you are not so far removed from the self-abuse to gain the requisite distance necessary for the ideational objectifications which form the basis of heightened self-consciousness and self-understanding. Like Hegel said: the owl of Minerva flies at dusk.

I, myself, have always struggled most around the two-week mark and most of my relapses occur within that time-frame. It is a major impediment to my recovery. On the rare occasion that I have managed to surpass this limit, I find myself quickly gaining in courage, fortitude and an overall sense of self-possession. There must be a neurological reason for this, just as there must be a neurological reason for the susceptibility to relapse in the beginning stages of recovery.

My longest streak is 2 weeks. I remembered that I had relapse for some silly reason. Rebooting helps reprograming our brain. We will eventually find the habits that we were developing more satisfying than PMO. So do think that you are mental weak!!!
Don't do that. Even I had the same thoughts but continuing to have them does not help anything. It is up to us to work on it!!!!!

  5. When you feel like you're about to give in, I suggest you find a video that helps cement why you shouldn't and watch it a couple of times. I've been doing this for this streak and it has helped me tremendously. It breaks through that porn addled lust and I can't bring myself to relapse no matter how intense the urge gets.
