Last week it finally sank in that I had to make a change. I've been seeing a girl for a few weeks and last week we went back to her place for the first time. When we got to the bedroom I was unable to perform. I had the same problem with my last girlfriend a couple of years ago but I tried to kid myself that if I went without PMO for a couple of days before a date that everything would be fine.

I've now realised that I have to make a change and I need to get PMO out of my life. Since Monday I've been reading articles and forums about what I should do and I am now ready to give up PMOing. I have had an O twice this week but none in the last 24 hours and I haven't looked at any P since Wednesday.

On top of giving up PMOing I am also trying to change my lifestyle. I have been to the gym 4 times this week, I'very been eating better and generally looking after myself. I drink a lot of Coke and Mountain Dew, things that I know aren't good for me but I enjoy. Inot all, the success stories I have read they always take this time to try and improve themselves in some way and I want to do the same.

I can't state how badly I want to do this, not just for me but also for my new girlfriend. We'very been having an amazing time together and I can really see this going somewhere. I'm seeing her tonight and I will hopefully tell her about this as I would hate for it to get down the line and end up hurting her.

Fortunately my work keeps me busy and I have been spending more time outside of work either going to the gym or exploring (I'might a British guy working in the US for a few months). I like to keep myself busy at the best of times so now more than ever do I want to keep myself active.

After 24 hours without PMO I feel pretty good. I know I have a long road ahead of me but at the moment I feel pretty confident.

Look forward to updating you tomorrow.

    Day 2

Still feeling pretty good. I coached 3 soccer groups yesterday, 1 first thing in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. Spent most of the morning hanging out with my girlfriend and in the afternoon I spent most of my time with the family I'm staying with.

I've been fairly distracted by wrestling. Anyone who's a fan will know it's the biggest time of the year with Wrestle WrestleMania and the Raw show the night after so I have had plenty to keep me busy.

I will probably go to the gym later and then I have a coaching session tonight.

As I said I still feel pretty good so far but I'm well aware that it will only get more difficult before it starts to get better.

    Day 3/4

It's been slightly tougher the last couple of days. Even with going to the gym more I still find that, especially through the day I have a lot of time on my hands. I do keep trying to find things to do weather it's just cleaning or making lunch but I still have a lot of free time. I really need to find something else to get in to.

    Day 5-8 (Sorry)

It's been a rough few days I won't lie. Friday especially I was feeling pretty low. Fortunately I had an amazing day with my girlfriend yesterday. We went to a surprise party and she got quite drunk and we quickly ended up at her place. We fooled around for a little while and once again I was unable to perform. She finally got me to talk about the problem.

I told her how long I had been PMOing and that I had started a reboot. I cried as I told her all this. I have never been so open with anyone like this until now. I felt so bad when she kept asking if it was her, knowing full well that it was my issue. She was so supportive. I can now truly appreciate how amazing she is and makes me want to do this for her as much as I need to do this for myself.

8 days without PMO and I am pretty pleased with myself. In the last couple of days I've fortunately been kept busy so I haven't felt any temptation.

Quick question: If you are rebooting and you have a partner have you been abstaining altogether or are you still active in some form?

Hi @kcfromuk. Thanks for sharing your story. I'm on day 7 (first time rebooting too) and I have a partner. So far the opportunity to be intimate hasn't arisen since I started but if it does (which I think it will tonight), I won't abstain. One of my goals is to be intimate with her more frequently so it makes sense to go with the flow if the opportunity arises. Personally, I foresee myself having the opposite problem in that I might PE.

    Hope some of this helps.

Thanks. We discussed it and both agreed that we want to be active. Even if I am having problems I still get a lot out of being intimate with her and that's something I don't want to stop.

I just started this past Sunday. I've done it before, but only went a little over a week. I am going to try for three months now. It's not only difficult for just my self, but also pleasing my partner as well. Fortunately, she is not as sexually active so that gives me time to reboot properly.

    Day 9

Still going strong. I'm on the back end of a cold so I've not been the most energetic but after 3 back-to-back classes this morning I managed to drag myself to the gym for a 30 minute run and a swim then I was coaching again tonight.

I'm looking forward to a couple of days off so I'm looking to keep busy. I'll definitely be hitting the gym, hoping to do 5 days in a row. The only thing I have to be careful with is my diet. I'm going for lunch with my gf tomorrow but normally when I have time off I end up eating poorly.

I've been looking in to meditation and was wondering if anyone does it and if so could describe how they do it.

    Cheers guys.

Sit down on floor cross legged (preferred) or in a chair with your spine straight. Sit against a wall if your back needs some support. Be comfortable with your posture. Then simply focus on your breath as you breathe in and breathe out. Count your breaths. Count backward from 100 to 1, so whenever your mind drifts away you will lose the counting. Start over every time you lose the counting. Bring your mind back to counting your breaths whenever it starts thinking. It will probably the hardest thing you will ever try but with consistency you will get it right. Try it right after 30 min of your run and swim as it's gonna be much easier then. Good luck!

    Day 10

I've kept myself fairly busy today meeting my girlfriend for lunch, going to the gym and then a couple of hours coaching in the evening.

I'm happy to say that I still have no urge to watch any P, still haven't MO'd and I don't plan to any time soon. I'm starting to understand what everyone has said about the extra energy. Even with this cold I still have the energy and will power to drag myself to myself to the gym and keep pushing myself.

So I've been reading about ways to boost testosterone, looking at how I can do it through diet and through exercise. I was reading about how instead of just getting on a treadmill and running long distances that it is better to run at high intensity for a short period of time followed by a longer rest period. I tried it out today by running at full speed (for me) for 30 seconds and then a 90 rest period just walking for around 20 minutes.

I've also looked at the effects of strength training and how that can help.

How do you guys work out and how have you found it? As I said this type of training is something I have just started so would be interesting to hear how it works for you guys.
