First Post: New Year's resolution

Hi y'all,

I've been following the reddit thread for a while and it helped me recognize PMO as one of my impulsive behaviours and stress-coping mechanisms. Alcohol abuse and anxiety/depression have been a part of my life for some time now and last year I finally started going to therapy and it helped a lot. I've recently been excessively using PMO again and I'm finally ready to confront it head on (pun intended). I honestly gross myself out and my views on women and the world just don't align with porn consumption. Unfortunately, I've been masturbating to online pornography since I was about 13 (I'm 29 now) and it has become a habit/addiction that isn't so easy to break. I'm here to be part of a supportive community and to reach my goal of no PMO in 2019. It's ambitious, I know, but I want to set my sights high. Reality is real enough and there's no avoiding it, so I might as well shoot for the stars and see where I land.

Unfortunately not. I recently moved back home and need to look for a new therapist. Kinda was hoping to go it alone for a while, but I'm definitely struggling.
Have you tried therapy?
