First time report on NoFap- New user

Discussion in 'New to NoFap' started by InvincibleRockForLifetime, Nov 11, 2017.

  1. Hi everyone, its my first post from the time i've joined nofap 2 weeks back. I have been working hard and consistently to avoid PMO for the past 2 weeks. But recently have moved to a new city and am single(away from wife and family) and alone. I have been trying other activities like meditation to improve my self control.

But on Day 15 of nofap, I have relapsed after visiting a spa. After that, I had shame and guilt for doing it and now trying to re-power myself to not do it again. Any suggestions and advice will be useful. Any help on how to find accountability partners.

15 days No-PMO- Congratulations! Be proud of yourself!
Accept yourself, like yourself, love yourself. You are a wonderful person, you really are.
Don’t feel ashamed - as humans sometimes we are strong, sometimes we are weak. We always have the chance to try again and to not make the same mistake again.

I know the damn feeling after relapse. It’s greater to be gentle and kind with ourselves. I have my come back at Nofap after a few months and I really hope I learned a little bit. If there is the sincere longing to become truly happy, it will happen. That’s why we came into this world. Good luck!
  4. Thanks Mate, thats a great thread you have compiled and shared...Must read and i'll surely follow the tips. Thanks again.

  9. D4- doing good, improved from yesterday. Less urge. Keeping myself busy with work is the best thing. Meditation is somehow skipped today, dint do it in morning.

You’ve made it to Day 4! That’s great!

Now would be a great time for you to create your official journal. Creating a journal will allow us to follow you along your journey. To do so, go to the Reboot Logs, find your age group and begin a thread, which is your journal. Copy/ paste a link here so that we can encourage you along your journey.
  11. D11- Had severe urges to PMO and went online to do some searching. But dint do PMO. Can anyone help me fight the urges? What to do.
  12. Skipped meditation for a couple of days and have been sleeping late browsing online for couple of days, lost my self control and discipline for couple of days and the urges are back. I need to rebuild my self control and clear my thought of PMO. Any help would be appreciated.
  13. D13- Relapsed, not by porn... but went for happy ending at a spa... Is that a porn-sub??? Problem is I've been edging for past 2 days and sexual energy was high...What to do?
  14. Off porn for past 30 days, but developing porn-subs. Two streaks of 13 days off PMO so far in the past month. Need to be more determined and developed other healthy porn subs. Cant help but edge from day 10 onwards. Back to day 1 now.

  18. Hey @InvincibleRockForLifetime ,

I'm just a normal ordinary member. No moderator super powers and no special insite. I share my ESH (Experience, Strength and Hope) of what works for me.

Just another warm welcome and a heart felt hello. This community has helped me so much.

What worked for me was "working" it. It took hard work for me to complete a hard reboot (No pmo) for 120 days, then move into a Sex Positive mode.

First, reading the literature published by NoFap itself along with reading journals.

Then, doing the work. Writing in my journal and replying to introductions and other's journals.

Finally, but not least, getting involved with the fellowship. I found it on the forums, but also in people's profiles. The forums tend to be longer posts, where the profiles tend to be more "conversational".

That is what has worked for me. I like to remind myself that this community was here waiting for me with the lights on when I arrived. Now, I have to do my best to be there when someone comes to the community.

    Then, watch this video:

    PS -

One of the ways I got involved with the fellowship was by reading some really great journals. Reading other's stories with their victories and even defeats is a big part of my program.

I've included journals from all age groups, spiritual members, religious members, secular members, male and female. You should find journals that help. If not, look around, there are hundreds of others from which to choose. When I say "it works if you work it", reading journals is part of that work.

Once you open a journal, click "Watch Thread" in the upper right of the page to get alerts when new posts are made. Here are just a few:
