Hey! I've got a question: there's this girl at school I've liked for a while, and I think she likes me back (I think it's the first time in my life where that may be the case); but I started my reboot over 5 months ago (mid September), and about three months (say first week of December), I entered my flatline and I'm still stuck in it. Overall it hasn't been that bad, basically the one big symptom is really low libido. Well getting to my question: should I ask this girl out and (if she accepts of course) to try to rewire with her, or should I just wait til I'm out of my flatline to ask her out (I think it would normally be the better option but I've been stuck in it for a while with no end in sight as of now)? So, any opinions? Thanks

Again, only you can know. However, I think connecting with a real partner after 5 months effort is a good thing to do. Sex is good, Sex is Fun, Sex is happy, but more than anything, real connections that tie us to people are the most rewarding things in life. This is why we do the reboots, so that we can clarify our priorities in life, and see real value in those around us.

Obviously, you don't have to disclose everything you've done and tried on the first date, or get her to be your AP buddy immediately. But going and having a normal relationship is a good thing.

Just be aware, just like you've guarded yourself from your urges, and watched for triggers, you will be entering a new area where there may be stresses, and frustrations if things might not 'automatically work'. Try to control your expectations, and just be happy with what occurs.

If you feel the stresses are building, definitely keep the conversation open here.

Other than that, good luck, and enjoy what life has brought you.
