For those who succesfully do so: what metods do you use to resist urges?

I can't seem to do so. There's always this hard urge moment where I don't even try to resist, and this makes me feel like shit afterwards, I'm not a very weak person usually, I always do my exercise, I never eat too many sweets, I force myselfto do homework, I never steal when I could, I keep promises to those who I care about, but I can't seem to fight this.
