For those who think God does not love us

Why do bad things happen, and why does God not stop it? To answer this we must go back to the beginning in the garden, when Adam and Eve sinned against the Lord they lost spiritual unity with the Lord and became spiritually dead, now disconnected from God we lost our source of eternal life and became Gods enemies. However God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever should believe in his name shall not perish but have eternal life. Would a God who does not love us send his son to die for us? To bear all the sin in the world on his human shoulders, is it not amazing the perfect God would lower himself to our level and live among us, to be humiliated, spat on, hated, and suffer a painful death for us, mere creations who are less then dirt.
