I did that in 7 years before. I have used 100s of blocker and deleted password. But PMO never left me. As for mine the blockers can delay the PMO. When the urges comes it will take some time, between that time our mind to be changed.

I used hundreds of blockers too for years but they didn't work well since everthing is in your mind. If you are not mentally prepared, no blocker will help you.

As long you found a method that you can consistently follow then that is awesome and keep at it.

    Good Luck!

Blockers can help but are not the answer. Easy to uninstall. If it works and it helps you then great but it's forcing you into sobriety

It used to be so much easier in the good old days before wifi. You'd just glue your cable connection in then cut the cord. :(

Whatever works for you. That is what really counts.

why not just have will power?

it's like a smoker who's avoiding alcohol while quiting. eventually it will become your way then what? this was one of the biggest obstacles I faced while quiting. Eventually I powered through.

combat it head on. Need to be in a position where if it's their it doesn't change anything. That's when real abstinence occurs.

running, and hiding is never a solution.

This is easier said than done because there are two components to the equation.

You have the will, which is the rational desire - you really want to do this thing, but....

Then there is the power. You may find you do not as yet have the power to do what you want [incontinence]. You are, for the time being, overcome by the addiction. So it may take some time to develop the strength and power of the will [the development of character] whereby the addiction is in turn overcome. Though you may lack the power to completely determine your actions, you still have the power to reduce the influences around you that undermine your determination. And so your power is enabled to grow in strength.

The interim period may see you using all manner of 'chaperones' to aid you in your goal.

It is just terrible when one is not fully committed to something. Not just fighting and overcoming this but anything in life as well. Can't go into something half-assed. Either you do or your don't. All that back and forth hee-hawing you are just wasting your own time. You have to be unforgiving of yourself and do what is necessary to accomplish whatever you are ought to achieve. If you are constantly watching porn on your phone and want to stop. You get rid of the phone and get an old flip phone. Or keep the phone but get rid of the internet access feature. No excuses. No I need this for this and I need this for that. If it gets in the way of your goal(s) you eliminate it pronto. If the person is toxic in your life you get rid of him/her. That is it. Simple as that really. You just have to have the courage and spine to pull that trigger and don't look back.

  12. i did it before , i downloaded k9 and more of these blockers but , the blocker is actually YOU .. you r the one that either let these fantasies drag u down or lift urself up . I trust that a person who is committed to his goal will not be distracted even if he doesn't have any blocker , wish u all the best :)

  13. If your router supports it, you can change dns settings to something like OpenDns which has content filtering and blocks all porn sites, it's literally impossible to get to porn, and than have someone from your family change the router administrator password.
