Free Apps with no option to delete

Basically, I installed ScreenZen, chose the apps/sites I wanted to block, got someone to put a passcode in, and now I've realised I could just delete the app if I wanted, because I forgot to add the disable app deletion feature.

I don't want to get that person to unlock it because there was enough tension just getting them to put the passcode in, and I'd look an idiot if I got them to unlock it just moments after getting them to lock it.

This prompts my question, are there any free apps I can install on iOS which prevent app deletion, in a similar manner to ScreenZen?

Thanks people.

P.S. I messed up my phone's screen time restrictions by putting in a password & apple id I don't remember, so that option can't be used, as I'm averse to factory resetting my phone.

On iPhone the only thing that I found that works is Screen time + a software called Screen Timely.

Then block installation of new apps. Only install Spin Browser, block safari. Spin has built in porn blocking that's better than screen time on safari.

I don't even think Apple allows apps to prevent uninstall?

Interesting... I'll take a look into Screen Timely.

Spin browser wouldn't really help in my situation because my Safari blocks all porn websites, and my issue is more with seeing content on apps such as X, and using video chatting apps similar to Omegle.

Apple does allow apps to prevent uninstall, I know this because ScreenZen provides this option and I have used it in the past during other NoFap attempts.

Unfortunately for iOS I don’t believe there is any app from the AppStore that can keep you from uninstalling apps other than the Screen Time feature.

If you’ve kept yourself from being able to recover your screen time passcode then, I believe, a factory reset is your only option to get the phone setup again with that restriction.

As I mentioned above, it's possible to prevent apps from being uninstalled on iOS by using the ScreenZen app. I was just curious if any other apps had that capability, because I hadn't found any.

I've resolved the issue by deleting and reinstalling ScreenZen, and I'll get someone else to enter a passcode, while ensuring I have the prevent app uninstall feature toggled.

Glad you found a solution.

Thanks man, much appreciated.

After attempting to get away from PMO for so long, it feels necessary to now enforce a passcode protected block. I just want to get away from this stuff forever.

Also, any idea how to get rid of the day counter?? I find taking notice of my day count can just lead me to obsess over PMO.

always delete android apps by going into safe mode.
Just delete Android's itself. We don't need smartphones. Back then only business people were using cellphones. Believe me you don't need it except flip phones. This is how I hit my Day 86. Internet is the problem. Stop hunting flies, just kill the swamp. I have zero "0" seconds of screen time on my smartphone. As a person who is currently educating myself on both computer hardware and software, if I did it I believe that anybody can. But again, I believe %95 of people on here don't need smartphones.

Listen my man, this is what you’re gonna have to go and do:
1. Go to backmarket and find you the most affordable best deal you can get on a refurbished android (I got an S21 Ultra for $300)

2: Hook up google family link to your iPhone as the parent and the android as the child

3: Go to the adguard-dns website, make a server, make sure to add the “Proxies blocklist” to it so you can’t use web proxies to bypass the filters, connect that server to your android’s private dns in network settings

4: from your iPhone block all other web browsers that aren’t chrome, and all app stores that aren’t google play

5: block social medias especially ones that have short form/infinity scrolling and/or have porn on them that can be stumbled upon accidentlally. So YouTube/insta/facebook/tiktok/twitter/reddit all gotta go. I downloaded Spotify, YouTube music, and rumble to have some access to the YouTube podcasts I listen to, and use a website called safereddit where I swap the Reddit url when I need to look at a thread. You have to block the apps AND the websites.

6: download AppBlocker, and pay for the yearly sub ($30), then make a filter that’s going to block your settings app with an 8 digit pin. Generate random 8 digit pin on iPhone, enter it into AppBlocker, and screenshot it to your iPhone. This is so you don’t turn off the dns settings to use proxy browsers

7: switch your sim to the android and port over your contacts. You can download google one on iOS to save all of those contacts and bring them over. You can likewise export passwords saved in chrome on IOS.

8: keep the iPhone as far away from you as you need it to be so you don’t go for it during a close call. For me I keep the iphone in my car when I’m home and when I’m leaving I take it from my car and put it in the house.

9: use the iPhone at times of higher self control to approve app requests you made, tweak blocklists, turn off a setting temporarily, etc.

This combo is one of the only ways to really have it locked down and not have to look like a ‘tard asking someone to put in a password for you cause you can’t help but jack off. Google family link disables your ability to go into safe mode so you can’t bypass 3rd party restrictions.

You can always delete android apps by ....

Ibn Taymiyyah wisely stated that true wisdom is speaking the right words to the right person at the right time. @Zeso , My friend, it would be prudent to remove that post. In your effort to showcase your knowledge, you might unintentionally expose a loophole to those who were successfully committed to nofap simply because they were unaware of it. If you don’t wish to inadvertently contribute to their relapse, please consider deleting the post immediately.

No.

When you rely on a porn blocker, sooner or later you’re going to Google 'how to delete a porn blocker on Android.'
Then you’ll find out how and relapse.
The goal is not to make people dependent on porn blockers that can be deleted with a simple Google search.
That's how I relapsed once.

Not everyone is as technical as you and I. A first line of defence is enough to startle most of the non-technical people.
Although I can't fully agree with you in a general sense, I agree to your point only as far as Andoff is concerned, because it requires quite an expertise to even make it work.

I just made a post about the set-up I use https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?threads/porn-blocking-phone-setup.363285/

While of course it can be bypassed using a secondary device, if you put the effort in to make sure the other devices are away from the phone, I think this is a very beneficial restrictor set up for people to be able to carry around a regular phone and do regular things with it.

I understand the mindset of wanting to just will the addiction away, but will-power is finite in people, and if you can prevent a few relapses this way by having the other device required to bypass locked away in a car or at a relatives house for example, this can really snowball into the person hitting a streak they otherwise wouldn't have hit, and have the cravings subside over time.

PS: If you can think of a way to actually bypass this set up please hold back from sharing.

if google family link really blocks booting into safe mode then i dont know any way to bypass this. Impressive setup.
