If women think its not fair that we do this, there needs to be a campaign going the other way - 'cover the nipple' or something. Because if girls walked around topless, I for one would go insane.

 

I completely agree.
The rape rates would shoot up a lot. Last time I checked, that's not exactly the goal of most femenists.

 

This reminds me of something my fiance went through when she was breastfeeding our son. I was absolutely blown away by how society shames breastfeeding women. The most natural thing in the world made scandalous by perverted minds.

What is this about? If it's about breast-feeding: sure, go ahead. You have a child covering you anyway.
I can't really see this being about walking topless in public, because well... men don't do that either. Except on the beach, of course. But I prefer women to wear a bikini top on the beach so I don't get an erection, as erections become really apparent when wearing swimwear.

 

Of course men do that! All time they are getting their upper kit off and exposing their nipples and moobs.

 

After reading this thread I suppose I know what this is about. Well, I don't really care. Or I find it dumb as hell. Okay, it is dumb as hell, but not really caring is the best thing you can do with extreme feminists. I understand that nudity is more natural in general, but no, you can't do it with all the sexualization that's around today. If nudity wasn't associated with sexuality, as in some primitive peoples or naturism communities, it would be alright. But we are very, very far from that. Regarding the equality problem: 1. A woman's breasts have a whole different physical function than the nipples of a man. In fact, the latter have pretty much no function at all (as far as I know). Can you really compare them that easily? 2. I agree with @SnL that if there has to be equality by all means, men should cover their nipples, too. Free men-bras for all! Or let's just use shirts instead.

 

if getting cat-called means something like being judged as an easy girl/woman without a right moral....... my answer is: JUST NO! it depends about situation, really I don't expect to see some-topless-one in a superstore, neither male (absolutely) nor female, in the right context surely there are no kind of problem about this and overall absolutely no reasons to judge a person for this.
Maybe, we should severely judge certain lustful glances, certain dirty thoughts inside wrong minds.
Evil doesn't reside in a bra, it lives in sick and morbid brains.
And it's not even a question of age or beauty, it's a question of class, the class we present ourself by, on the beach as in our livingroom, on the road, at work.

@Rubidium: Oh no! breasts are sexy for you, for me too, i don't understand how it is possible to judge a woman if she walks topless, this is so far from my mind. There are also dresses i don't see a little of skin, but sexy as hell: it doesn't means I necessarily have to transform myself in an animal because I can think that I am in front of an easy woman.
