From fapping due to insomnia and long-distance relationship to recovery

    Hi there everyone, I'm Itay, 29 y.o. and I decided to take action and bring back the control over my life again.
    I started using soft-porn & fap at around age 14. During the last 6 years, I used to watch porn and fap almost on a daily (or more correctly - nightly) basis, sometimes a few times per night. I suffer from insomnia and I thought the faping would help me sleep. First, it actually did, but over time it made more harm than good. Due to the need for having more time to enjoy, screens that emit blue light, and not being able to sleep and relax without it.
    In addition between 2015 to 2017 I had a long-distance relationship with the one who's now my ex-girlfriend. Since I didn't want to cheat I used porn as the substitute for it. In summer 2017 I moved to live with her in Germany (I'm from Israel). I thought that after getting together I'll stop using porn cause our sex was great, but the loneliness, the cold-grey winter and the fact I had no job in the first months there dragged me back to use porn and fap a lot. When I came back heartbroken to Israel at Jan 2019 I found comfort and relaxation in porn and couldn't be without it for a single night till this day.

    After many times I've tried to quit and always relapsed, this week I decided to quit for good. The main reason was that I suffered from E.D. while trying to have sex with someone I'm trying to have a serious relationship with. After 1.5 years without one and after 5 months without having sex at all. When I think of it now, also the last times I got intimate with women this year my d!ck wasn't really collaborative but than I blamed the booze for it.

    Actions I've taken so far:
    1) Blocked porn sites on my PC via the host file and using Blocksite.
    2) I did it as well on my smartphone.
    3) I bought a smartwatch with an alarm so I won't have to charge and put my phone in my room each night - Probably the most important for me, since my cue for fapping was having my phone near me each night.
    4) Sharing my E.D. story with a good friend I can trust
    5) Placing the Kindle in my bed so whenever I can't sleep and need my "screen" dose, I'll have it with good content
    6) Made a fixed schedule which includes workouts, career improvements and social life.
    7) Sharing my story with you

    So far I've had 3 nights without porn & fap and I basically broke my (at least) 2 years record. I'll keep you posted. Thanks a lot

  3. Welcome to noFap bro. The greatest addiction in the universe. Porn + boobs + asses. If you beat this drug, nothing in this world can get you in trouble or worrying afraid you anymore.
    You need to have a systematic approach. You are on the right path so far.

    About bluelight, use bluelight filter and set it on green yellowish screen.....it reduces eye stress a lot..........



    This bad habit destroyed young age of lots of people.....
