Frustrated and angry : can't get erection when I'm standing up

    Another piece of evidence supporting the theory its a pelvic floor issue is that in the mornings I can get morning wood and get out of bed and walk around with an erection just fine, which most likely means its because my pelvic floor is relaxed (it relaxes during sleep and laying down and so do all muscles in your body) so this relaxed state of my pelvic floor means sustaining an erection whilst standing up is possible.

    Yeah it works fine man, no leak or unusual veins. The fact I can get hard laying on my back and walk around with an erection in the morning proves my pipes are fine. Its a pelvic floor issue, I just dont know how to fix it. I'm trying all the exercises I possibly can so I'll report my results in a couple months.

    The ONLY other possible solution I can come up with is to literally train myself to masturbate and climax in the standing position. But because I'm in the middle of a reboot I can only train this way with a girl/partner during sex. I've heard a few people say it's due to mind conditioning but I believe the pelvic muscles play a role in this too. ONE guy did say he trained himself to climax standing up for a week and it solved his problem. It all comes from years of fapping seated. So the idea is that you get hard in what ever laying down/seated position works for you, then stand up and practise reaching climax in the upright posistion so your brain begins to associate boners/pleasure with that new position to beat years of seated conditioning. But again, I still strongly suspect an unbalanced or tense pelvic floor is the culprit here. How else do you explain the fact I can maintain boners standing up in the morning? Because the floor is relaxed after a night of sleeping, it relaxes like all other muscles in the body.

    I appreciate you trying, I do. God knows no one else will. I dont have any prostate issues as far as I know and no reason to believe I do. I urinate just fine and it doesn't burn when I pee or anything like that. What does buttsecks have to do with this subject? lol

    Nah I don't think my prostate is in any bad shape, I would have other symptoms, like needing to pee all the time or having interrupted pee a long with burning pee etc...probably some pain too.

    Anyway I found this...

    "I had the same problem. Well, I fixed it (around 1 month of constant work).

    I am very athletic, so I cannot contribute to this problem to physical limits. I also have excellent morning erections, and sitting/laying down. I believe, as well, that my problem was caused from masterbating too much sitting down, and never standing up. I would stand up, and it would die.

    Well, here was my training:

    I would masterbate until very close to orgasm, and when I feel I'm a few seconds away, I would stand up and finish off standing up. This was to teach my brain to associate standing up as a good thing.

    After a week or so of this (once or twice a day), I would stand up half a minute before orgasm, and finish off. Erection might get a bit weaker, but I'd keep going.

    I gradually built up to being able to fully masterbate standing up. Now, I have ZERO problems. The trick is to SLOWLY get your brain accustomed to associating standing up to be something enjoyable and possitive, not negative. Hope that helped."

    "I just had one of the most frightful experiences of my life. A couple of months ago I noticed a slight pain on the right side of my tummy. I also noticed the urge to urinate a lot. I also noticed that as soon as I put on a condom I lose my erection. Three weeks into the symptoms I went to my doctor and was told I have bowel infection. I was prescribed antibiotics which also increased my need to urinate as a way to flush my system.

    Two weeks After I completed my course of antibiotics I noticed that as soon as I stand up I lose my erection.     I went to my doctor and she could not understand how that could be. She said since I am able to get an erection while lying down, I shouldn't worry too much. She said sometimes the body needs time to adjust after taking antibiotics. I was also taking Zinc and Magnesium supplement. Saturday I went into the kitchen and decided to eat a piece of melon my mom had on the counter. about 30 minutes after having the melon, I went to take a shower and like most times in the bathroom, I try to test my erection while standing and for the first time in a month I saw my penis becoming erect without me having to touch it. During the month, my penis would contract instead of becoming enlarge, but now it was growing before my eyes. I nervously rejoiced and then began to ponder why the change. I remembered the melon and after the shower, I went online and looked up the benefits of melon and saw Potassium to be one of its nutritious agents. I then did a research on Potassium and found out that it is needed for the body to work properly. I researched further and found out that antibiotics and frequent urination could result in a loss of potassium in the body. I went and bought a bottle of Potassium and began taking it yesterday and today again I saw where I am able to get an erection while standing. I am not yet where I was a month ago, but I will continue to monitor my progress.

    I do not know if it is time (as the doctor says) or it's the potassium I am taking. I would advise guys, however, to check to see if they are low on potassium and begin taking this supplement if they find they are having erection difficulties."

    Honestly I've never liked stroking, I only enjoyed it ONCE with my ex gf and I just dont like stroking tbh....anyway, it's a LDR so it'll be 3 months til I see her so I'm hoping I can get some training done on her. It'll just be majorly and embarrassing and awkward when I have to explain I can only get hard if I'm seated or laying down on my back or side...then I'll have to very quickly switch to missionary to keep my erection going. I hope I'll be rebooted more by then and horny enough to stay aroused. The only good thing so far is that further into my reboot I find it easier to stay hard when I stand up but still cant get hard when I'm already standing...I just get like a semi..50% maybe? Glans stay flaccid and my shaft sort of balloons a bit but definitely not a proper erection, eh who knows...maybe having a girl with me and a bit of training and exercises with l arg and potassium together will help me cure the problem lol.

    standing erections aside i have also a problem in getting erection even setting on bed the erection rarely starts alone without physical stimulation is anybody here the same? i mean on bed (as i used to masturbate in semisetting for nearly 2 years daily) i canot get erection without physical stimulation

    I saw my doctor about my standing erection and pelvic floor concerns and he just said it's all in my head and prescribed the C word erection pill to help me get over the psychological issue. typical GPs, trained for all those years yet they clearly still dont know sh** about male sexual health.

    L-Arginine and L-Citrulline create nitrous oxide which opens blood vessels and L Citrulline is found in watermelon rind too. The C and V word also work with nitrous oxide through a different pathway. If they don't work it's not a vascular problem you have. Ever heard of a confidence ring?
