No, the weighlifting, and socializing, are his fix, the cup of tea although also releases some dopamine is neglectable in relation with the other two factors you just overlooked.

but that's my point - the goal is to slowly become a man that is able to work for 3 months to get a feeling he could have gotten in 1 hour of a wank

yeah the same, it's all sound very good at theory, but in reality...

it's like all this posts in ''success story'' sub forum , ''how did i quit ? i just ''wrote every day my goals'' and also ''kept believing in myself'' and boom i become not addict to porn''

and i am like, sureeeee..... that's all it takes.....

Well, who am I to tell you, I'm a P junkie too, but to slowly become that man, takes discipline, nothing else, nothing more.

I tell what it takes, Willpower, those three months were an absolute pain in the ass, there were moments when I was like "why am I even doing this shit?" but oh mate, after getting it done, look back and be like "I get it now.."

I mean I'm starting small, making silly "to do lists" and such, obviously a 3 month project is much much more rewarding than a 2h to do list, but hei, when I see all the items in the list ticked off, is rewarding nonetheless..(I copied the to do list strategy from videogames btw)

Baby steps as they say, and sheeer fucking will....
Until you can look into the mirror like...

it takes willpower to quit addiction, but if you are an addict you don't have willpower...

You are not wrong, but, think of willpower as muscle that gets tired up, or as a limited resource.
And use it wisely. Ideally towards things that will reward you.
And I have the belief, that like a muscle, it gets stronger, and the tank of fuel gets bigger the more we use it.
But you have to restore the tank, and let the muscle rest too, everyday.

This sounds like a false equivalency to me. Heroin and other hard drugs are more obviously harmful but videogames are more insidious. You probably (and I say probably because some have managed to do this) wont kill yourself playing videogames but you can weaken your body from sitting for hours a day, and you can develop a psychological dependence, just as the same as with a drug, or porn.

Not true. The human brain can become addicted to anything. Heroin addicts will care more about shooting up than sexual release, because heroin is the thing they are hooked on, not sexual release. Its possible to become addicted to almost anything under the right circumstances. Just because porn is worse for you doesnt mean its the worst thing for everyone.

The human brain is not designed to be stimulated all the time, and not with such extreme stimuli. Its not about stopping all dopamine (which is basically impossible) its about taking control back from extreme stimuli and getting back to an even keel. For some people, that involves quitting games, for some, quitting porn. It differs from person to person.

Dont need to go cold turkey, just limit consumption, and find healthier habits to go alongside.

Went from trying to make the game appeal to everyone to only appealing to sweaty tryhards who obsess over it. This leaves people who just want to play it casually out of the loop because going up against players you barely stand a chance against isnt fun or fair. I say that as someone who is pretty good at CoD overall.

let me give you my understanding of what it mean to heal from porn - it means you get to do normal actions and with a big passion - it can be work, it can be kids, it can be a project, and it can be games.

porn drains the will of the mind from doing anything , but a recovery will make you do this stuff , with PASSION.

the point in healing from Porn is not ''getting stuff to normal level'' but to ''love the normal with a big passion''

this is why i see games as a great recovery check - if i love games, crazy about them, thinking about them, than it means i start to recover from porn.

if games are a meh, than i am still a porn addict.

I agree with what you are saying to some extent but at the same time, its all about moderation. Make sure you do not trade one addictive behaviour for another.
