Your concern jiltedjohn is much appreciated by me and should be addressed. There is a fundamental problem here on NoFap: if there is no ejaculation, where does the sexual energy get expressed?

Repressed sexual energy is the crux that manifests the child molestations in the Catholic church - celibate monks not knowing that sexual energy NEEDS to go somewhere. They fail to make the necessary transmutations of that energy which causes them to slip into evil behavior. They are terribly ashamed of themselves yet they cannot do anything about it because they don't understand that the fundamental sexual energy MUST be expressed and not repressed.

How do we, noble truth seekers on NoFap, stay P and O free while at the same time expressing our native vital energies to their fullest in life? How do we not repress our beauty, but instead flourish as humans?

I believe the answer comes from the Taoist perspective that sexual energy is the very same essence as creative energy, that procreation is a synonym for creation, that jing is a similitude for creative potential.

If we can flip our mindset to understand sexual energy as nothing more or less than creative energy, we can move into creativity as if we were making love, we can be constantly making love to the world without loosing a drop of energy - on the canvas with oil paints, on the page with pen and ink, in our public speaking, in our computer work, in our relationships, in our compassion for others, IN OUR SELVES as self-love and beneficence.

All of these things should be considered 'procreative' - you're not creating a human child but you are creating a "baby" in the form of your dream or goal. You gestate and birth your dreams into reality with the very same energy that you withhold during ejaculatory abstinence.

    My recommendation:

If you're starting to withhold your ejaculate, start new hobbies and creative projects like your life depends on it - you're creative energy needs to go somewhere. And not only start projects, but continue nurturing them through all of the element phases - wood, fire, earth, metal water. And then start the cycle over again.

In this way, nothing is lost, energy from the last cycle is rolled into the next cycle, again and again, and eventually, a tremendous amount of rich human substance is cultivated in you. The substance that our heroes and idols emanate. We become them for us and we become them for others.

Beautifully put! I do believe this to be of a major issue to people not ejactulating, even those not versed or even interested in these (at least) eigh thousand year old practices/wisdom which is a shame as I do believe the western notion of sexuality (as propagated by porn AND western 'education'/science etc) pales in comparison however much people choose to ignore it and/or dismiss it as it simply doesn't correlate to what they have been 'taught'. I'm a long time avid admirer of Taoist sensibility and have a profound respect for their 'science' which was matured over millenia and its disconcerting to see it ignored (or even rubbished) by minds following western 'mainstream' science (see story of physics teacher earlier in this thread!) which is in its infancy in comparison. And like you said the effects of sexual repression in the church etc are well documented (and yet surprisingly few alarm bells go off but like author Brene Brown says even when the alarm is screeching we are too quick to 'hit the snooze button'.)

I agree that we need to focus our mental energies on new and constructive/creative activities etc but I also believe those of us not ejaculating also need to be open to the idea of internal orgasm (again something that has been practiced thousands of years) and the sublimation of internal sexual energy that seeks expression as im not sure engaging in creative pursuits alone is enough ???

And its not even complicated or all that difficult to get to grips with even to people completely new to these type of ideas and the Mantak Chia book is simply mindblowing not only in its revelations (and i know its 30 years old) but also its expose (largely unintentional) of the extremely limited perception of sex etc in the west. I have been practicing delaying orgasm for many years (resulting in I guess what you could call male multiple orgasm?) and learning how to incorporate the taosist teachings/practices/meditations etc has really started to bring all the 'pieces' together and is simply fascinating and I would never want to go back to the pretty much contradictory mindset I was in of being interested in this stuff on the one hand and, well, the less said about the other hand the better!!;)

I do not know the answer to your question but I do see a danger with injaculation in that it requires practice (just like anything difficult and worthwhile) and being a sort of rigorous practice, it requires many *attempts* where each attempt is perhaps a risk to those on NoFap. You’ve stated that in fact there is a time and place when self-stimulation/massage is helpful, even in the domain of NoFap, and that it's all about your intention, and I agree. If you have the intention and discipline/self-love to knead the procreative organs within the domain of usefulness and not leaking, the practices can continue so long as you maintain a constant and watchful eye. However, I do believe that in time, the somatic risk of slipping outside of the bounds of good intention diminish to the point where it is no longer a pressing danger.

The crux is that most new Fapstronauts, I believe, are having a difficult time keeping their hands out of their pants, foremost. Encouraging injaculation practices will push them too close to the cliff of relapse. That being said, I think there is a time/threshold of consistent no-fapping when new habits are formed and old habits are broken when it is safe (and very worthwhile) to begin the injaculation practices. To each his own. In summary, if the practice of internal orgasm is introduced too soon, it may distract and disperse the person’s attention from their primary goal of NoFap.

I personally have very little experience with internal orgasm practice and male multiple orgasm. I have practiced for 3-6 months last year, before I discovered this forum. When I discovered this forum, I decided to postpone those practices until I could confidently say that I was porn and masturbation free. I hope to resume these practices in the next year or two, but I see my NoFap challenge as being paramount. I do however expect myself as an older man to have mastered these esoteric life practices.

"Those who honor their body more than the world
Can be entrusted with the world.
Those who cherish their body more than the world
Can be encharged with the world."

From Verse 13 of the Tao Te Ching

Yes I totally agree with everything you say about the inherent 'dangers' of these practices as quite understandably the general premise of NoFap is based on western notions of sexuality etc. And like you also said the more advanced practices of internal orgasm etc would likely be best not practiced in early stages of NoFap. However this still doesnt address the issue of repressed sexual energy and so what I would encourage people interested in these practices to do would become well versed in the preliminary exercises etc.

For example when I first trained in aikido black belt was a long way off in the distance but we were taught to 'be here now' and just keep putting one foot forward etc. We had glimpses of where we were heading as part of the system but ultimately we focused on what we needed to, where we were at, what was 'safe'/appropriate etc. So we were taught basic energy exercises, stretching, and moves appropriate to our 'level' and I guess theres an obvious parallel which we could learn from to avoid these practices being brushed aside as 'inconsistent' with the NoFap approach which I think would be a wasted opportunity for those not ejaculating (even in relationship as ejaculation is not necessary unless wishing to conceive) mainly for reasons of the need of sexual energy to be expressed and also the benefits of these energies when focused away from ejaculation and back inwards before being cultivated for creative expression etc.

So meditations like the Microcosmic Orbit and the Inner Smile could be practiced early on. And exercises that involve connection with the genital area (testical massage etc) could be introduced futher down the line and then further still the more advanced practices that would pose a risk to the initial goals of Fapstronauts who especially those with little or no background in these type of practices.

I also think these practices are healthy as they gently move the mind/body away from the almost automatic association with porn and the influence it has had on so many peoples ideas of sexuality etc and I often hear it said that when your giving something up you no longer wish to do dont focus on that, be mindful of it trying to reassert its presence etc but take something new up and make that your primary focus.

And so yes the caution of repressd sexual energies has the 'sister' caution of being a danger to the initial objectives of NoFap but hopefully (between us) I think we are finding solutions to both of these 'problems' for those of us interested in following this path?:)

Love the Tao Te Ching passage by the way. Ive collected several interpretations over the years and it certainly is a never ending source of inspiration :)

Yes I agree that the practices can be introduced slowly as one progresses through the levels. And this slow-drip of knowledge is traditional as you've pointed out and has wisdom behind it. Do you think it would be possible to transmit these practices to those on this forum? I am hesitant because of the extremely intimate nature of the material - each person is different - and a container for this sacred understanding would need to be built - something that I'm not sure could happen in the transient and anonymous nature of online forums.

I would also like to add to our conversation on creativity that actively taking risk is an absolute necessity for successfully managing suppressed and latent sexual energies when doing NoFap. Let me qualify this by saying that risk not need be dangerous and it must certainly not be self-destructive. What it must do, however, is require a "leap of faith" into the unknown so that the current self is risked in order to win the future self.

Risk agitates stagnation (it stirs it up). When there is no ejaculation and no creativity, the host is in danger of suffocation under the heavy sediments of stagnant yin qi. Risk, true yang fire, can pierce through the bedrock and aerate what is there.

To me, a kind of healthy risk is pickup basketball games. I have consistently in my life shied away from any masculine competitive team sport. And so now that spring is coming, I must summon the courage to get out on the asphalt and join the pickup games in the park - my brilliance, in all facets, depends on my ability to take the "leap of faith" and risk.

Good conversation, I'm glad there's someone on this board that has experience with these Taoist and martoial arts practices.

Is there any online material for this that doesn't involve buying or reading books? I need material to distract me when I'm working in front of the PC and tempted to sidetrack - and besides, I really am a very lazy reader.

    Websites, youtube videos etc?

Hi DaLe and Treason. I don't know to be honest. The Taoist Sexual Secrets is an CD audio programme and my copy is an Android phone app by Sounds True if that helps?

If you go online I guess the main people to look up would be Mantak Chia, Lee Holden, Rachel Carlton-Abrham (Mantak Chia is the main man in this field though)

Theres probably stuff on youtube but might be very scrappy, bits here and there, difficult to piece together etc?

    I hope that helps :)

The "microcosmic orbit" (I didn't know it by that name at the time, it was an exercise I read in a yoga book but is the exact same exercise as many of these occult systems overlap) was the first method I'd used to control my cravings and it worked with great efficacy. I've been using it a great deal in my recovery now, which I'm much more committed to than any other time I've quit. I think these understandings will lead to a lifetime away from PMO once the reboot is complete. I feel I'd like to work on this practices again, but for the time being, I need to reboot completely.

@ OP - what's your opinion on training the pelvic floor muscles such you don't ejaculate but can still orgasm? It's quite a small muscle and does suffer from over training, but you could have an orgasm every 48 hours in addition to the exercises without ejaculating or over training the muscles.

    Bustin' nuts feels good..!

Hi OGCheshireCat, good to hear your views etc and all the best with the reboot (and beyond!). The CD or phone app audio Taoist Sexual Secrets has some really useful exercises in addition to microcosmic orbit like fanning the fire, abdominal breathing, strengthening the perineum/pelvic floor, and maybe a few others that help move the energy and could easily be practiced during reboot if you would be wanting to ease yourself in gently. And the Jay Onwukwe book is an excellent and very quick and easy read to the basic principles without exercises etc. Just worth a mention:)

Hi Strawhat, I've been 'squeezin' this muscle for years without any problems from overtraining. All it really needs is about 100 repetitions of contract/relax per day which is a bit of a discipline to remember but well worth it and also good for prostrate as it massages it. It takes a bit of practice to stop ejaculation during sex but is well worth mastering. If not seen already read discussions earlier regarding this and NoFap as poses some interesting questions? Cheers:)

"Man is still bullied about by his biological urges. When man is complete, and has truly integrated his still clumsy body with his mind and spirit, his total freedom of spiritual being is beyond the control of the biological instinct. This does not violate the physical laws of the universe; it simply postulates that we are beings with the inherent power to cultivate our energy to a level of power where it allows us to direct our bodies freely. It is not mind over matter, as that implies a battle. It is more mind inside matter. The revelations of mind have allowed us to create nuclear bombs, so why not use mind to direct its own body which is immediately at hand? " ~ Mantak Chia from the book 'Taoist Secrets of Love. Cultivating male Sexual Energy.'

i read somewhere that some famous leaders of various religious sects has gone through castration.........maybe its a way to harness sexual energy to something productive and avoid distraction...
sexual transmutation works the same way i think

Im not sure to be honest I guess their reasons for castration had were different for each of them (?) but the practices discussed in this thread have nothing to do with any organised religion etc (and I dont mean that in a dismissive way, more just to make the distinction) We discussed earlier in the thread the possible consequences of sexual repression and I really think its an important consideration for people here refraining from O etc. And dont think religious ascetism is the same as energy transmutation as the fundamental intention is completely different.
