    September is here.
I have made zero money until now.
I keep getting overwhelmed whenever I have to take action. Sometimes I think I use relapse as an excuse to not do the hard work
But then I remember my brain has literally been conditioned for instant gratification, to take the path of least resistance.
I'm making the same mistakes again and again. Fighting the final fight every day.
    Comparing myself with other people.
How some people have accomplished so much at my age or below my age and I'm still living with my parents.
I don't know how to go from here. I keep creating systems that ultimately fail me.
How long before I get my first win?
How long do I have to struggle with this BS in my life?
I make rules. I forgive myself after relapsing. But then I forget about why I'm doing this and get enticed to get the dopamine fix and then relapse.
I'm tired of the motivational content. It's not helping me. Maybe it works for other people. But it doesn't for me.

I'm gonna write my thoughts on everything every other day here from now on. I gotta get this shit off my chest. Holding on too much emotional weight right now. It needs its release.

My advice is to lock away your devices when you are in situations likely to trigger you. We all had/have environments most likely to trigger us. Such as being in the bathroom on our cellphone or being alone in the bedroom on our laptop with the door closed.

You need to dissemble your triggering environment. Turn off the devices in the evening (or whenever you usually relapse), keep them physically far away, don't close your bedroom door, don't take your phone into the bathroom, etc.

What is the environment you usually relapse in? Where, what time and what device?

    Get off social media man.

There will always be people your own age and even younger than you that are doing way better in life. Accept that.

Keep your world small, just concern yourself with avoiding PMO.

Go to the gym, go for outdoor hikes, take up a new hobby, start training your brain to seek pleasure from things that don't provide easy/instant gratification.

This is hard, and it should be hard. Do not expect any day to be easy on this venture of self improvement.

What we can do in this community is that we can give you advices, it is up to you to try them out and see what is best for you.

    Here are my advices:

    1) In this day and age the internet is everything, from learning to dating you could do possibly anything on it. It is up to you to choose what is right for you and what is not. You could use the internet for learning how to code etc.

    2) In your case, ideally you must leave your devices and start working on some skills, but due to the current circumstances you might find it hard to do so.

    3) I would recommend you to set up some kind of a porn blocker (if you haven't) that gets rid off your first problem i.e. PMO. Here are somethings you could do:

    1) Set up OpenDNS: (A little complicated but, works on all devices)
Try blocking every porn site including twitter ( It is no less than a porn site), stock photo sharing sites, instagram etc.

    Open DNS:
    Step 1:https://www.opendns.com/setupguide/
    Step 2:https://login.opendns.com/
(Manage which site you want to block)

    2) ENFORCE SAFE SEARCH:

To enforce safesearch: (Works on all devices)
    https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/510?co=GENIE.Platform=iOS&hl=en&oco=0

    To lock safesearch:
    https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/186669?hl=en#:~:text=To confirm SafeSearch is on,%\system32\drivers\etc .

Safe search makes sure there will be no porn or sexually arousing content in your searches.

Note: I recommend setting up OpenDNS on a network level it works like a charm. I also believe, having safesearch will prevent you from searching up stuff.

My experience with NoFap: I am trying to get my life back together as a student. I feel better after quitting PMO as, you get time and also get rid of brain fog which overall helps you develop your skills.

    I hope this helps.
    Stay Strong.

I can relate to you. I have struggled with envy and comparing myself to other people. I realized social media has more disadvantages than advantages for me and I’ve mostly cut it out.

PMO is a great distraction when you’re struggling, but the pleasure is fleeting.

I might suggest coming up with a list of other habits you can work on alongside no-PMO. Doing my self-care routine has helped me to have something to focus on to get through the day, when NoFap gets tough. I go into a little more detail on this in my journal.

Focus on checking the boxes on simple self improvement habits, and forgive yourself for not getting more done outside of those things. If you focus on creating a foundation of healthy habits, success in other areas will follow later. You’ll be better equipped to make progress in life and work after you master the basics first.

I’ve been all over the map (highs and lows) as I go through my reboot. Try to take it one day at a time and trust the process.
