As much as I love, love, black metal, it makes recovery so hard. The brain fog is unbearable, it makes mood swings worse, urges are bad, less motivated.
Rebooting is already taxing on my brain, and flooding it with dark messages isn't making it better. I'll probably switch over to Dream Theater or Meshuggah while I'm rebooting. Don't worry Dark Funeral I'll be back.

  2. I understand. I was never into black metal but all my entertainment was dark(except for porn) from violent Rap, Drum and Bass, Punk, violent movies and it didn't help that I have a huge facination with the occult. I've switched up my entertainment choices over the last year after realizing that flooding my mind with dark messages wasn't doing me any good in regards to my mental health and mindset. I still love all that stuff but I don't listen to it nearly as much now and I did improve my state of mind.

I would consider porn to be dark entertainment. And I quit messing with the occult after some weird demonic shit started happening. The occult is fun at first messing with quija boards with your friends. And then you start going 2-3 days without sleeping or eating, doing rituals and cutting yourself, it gets pretty fucked up.

  4. Youre excatly right about porn but I was never into the violent stuff. I never actually messed with or actually participated in the occult. I'm christian(and focusing on actually living as a real Christian) but I had experiences with the paranormal since before I could remember. I could read about this stuff for a 247 and never get bored. I realized focusing you attention on this stuff for extended periods of time can be almost as bad as participating so I kind of checked myself. On the Upside, familiarity with aspects of the occult is useful because then you understand that every area of our so called secular society is permeated by the occult and main stream society actually governed by religion.

Yeah I'm a Christian too. I was kind of a non practicing Christian until my room became too haunted to sleep in lol. I read the Bible cover to cover and prayed everyday until my room felt safe again. Are you a religious Christian or just a Christian?

  6. I always felt a connection with God but I always hated church. Because I know about the occult and a little bit about history, its clear all of the customs that the catholic and protestant church added to their brand of so called "Christianity" is completely pagan. I just read the bible, try to become more righteous, pray and my intention is to start spending time serving people and telling other people about Jesus. No need to go to church and worship ministers who lift themselves up like Gods.

I completely agree, religion was never supposed to exist. I just stick with the bible.
