They work together. SPIN is the browser that is built off Firefox they use. It blockes all the porn sites and other catagories you choose, such as dating sites, or file sharing sites bit turrents, etc. It will block all other browsers. Boomerange ap does a few other things. You set up all your settings on their webpage, such as blocking certain aps on your phone. I blocked the ap store itself, and set timers on my internet so it turns off at 10pm and i set instagram, youtube ap and facebook ap to turn off at 10pm. As at night when im tired im more likely to use porn-subs to MO.. Also you can set specific aps to and websites to be Always accessable. So in the Boomerange ap I set my own website, email, and nofap.com to be available 24/7 .. Because its made for parents to keep their kids safe, there is also a parents control panel ap i dont use that can moniter their kids cellphone.
What I recomend is put both on your phone, goto the website and set up all your settings to test it out, then ask a buddy to change the password for you and keep it safe. I got lucky and i found a guy who has same issues and i have his password and he has mine.
On my laptop I use SafeEyes blocker. It works same way. They also have safeeyes for android i used on my LG phone, but it didint work as well on my Samsung. Plus boomerang lets me put timers on aps, where safeeyes does not have that option.
