Does anyone know any good porn blockers? I used to use k9 which they stopped supporting, then I used cold turkey which hasn't been working.

Detoxify for Android and Tiny Web Filter for my computer have kept me off porn for months now. Get a friend to enter a password, then forget the password. One word of caution, Tiny will block any pages that contain key words, so it can be annoying. But if you're like me, it's a small price to pay to get your shit together.

You can only depend on blockers for so long. The true power comes when you can say no without being reprimanded by the gates. A former alcoholic doesnt walk into a store with gates around the booze... he must find it in him not to pick the booze up off the shelf. This is why I now am blocker-free. It means so much more to build the strength from within me to not enter the poisonous sites.

I would agree with that. I'll admit I'm not there yet myself though. All I know is I'm extremely glad I installed them, because at the time, it seemed like resistance was futile.

if you used to have K9 then you already have the license code sent to your registering email (before they stopped working) .. search for that first K9 email .. if you can access it then you can use (despite they stopped working)

On your google account go to settings and turn on filter explicit results
Also porn block plus is free

  12. for a browser, use opera as chrome allows you to go on guest mode, where you cannot block adult websites. You could also use the adult filter from opendns

Lol if I could block porn myself using willpower then I wouldn't be addicted to porn.

The fact that you acknowledge your porn addiction and want to stop it is a big step forward and I am sure you'll eventually get to the point where you don't need porn blockers.

One program I keep recommending here is homeguard porn blocker. It is very efficient and very hard to disable. You can install it and choose a long, hard to remember, password. It can be too strict tho..it will block nofap because it has too many references to porn. Make sure you add nofap and your important websites to the exception list under the <keywords> section in <monitoring settings>. Please note that it is not free but has a 15 days fully functional free trial...

Bro I am coming off as a bit standoffish but I genuinly want to understand your point of view. I have a will to quit porn. I fucking hate the shame I get 5 seconds after I finish. I have the feeling before that I want to spend all day watching porn and masturbating but when I'm finished I close my tabs immediatley and I can barely look at myself in the mirro when I'm taking a shower. I dream up ways that I will change my life for the better then two hours later I'm getting more urges and I'm about to open up porn, despite all the fucked up things I just felt and 'swearing off porn for life'. Most of the time I hate porn, I think it's disgusting and I can only see it as damaging. But then there will be one time where I'm sitting at home, I have been having urges all day, and all it takes is one thought that pops into my head and says 'it's not really that bad' then I have relapsed.

I wish you were right, I wish willpower was enough, but if it was I wouldn't be asking about porn blockers.

Flesh your arguement out bro, I wanna hear your point of view.

Tbh, quitting porn was quite easy for me. And that's saying something, because I've probably seen every kind of porn out there. Really. They're all the same to me tbh; make someone desperate enough for money or high enough on drugs and they'll do anything at all, even killing themselves while doing it.

Porn is what you get when perversions meet privacy. Add a camera and some money and- bam. Multimillion dollar company with absolutely no cost of operating except paying for camera film.

And I'll quote my statement above once more:
"Porn is what you get when perversions meet privacy. Add a camera and some money.."
The real destruction caused by porn is due to the fact that the perversions and people are not the same. The actor has little control over the progression of the video- it's the director's sick mind and another man acting it out. That's the real issue. Realize that and quitting porn is very simple.

Behind all that oil and engorgement is a cameraman with a boner. That's what porn is. Made by degenerates for future degenerates.

That's not to say i don't watch porn at all. Very occassionally (a few times in one year- just enough to count with both hands), I do slip up and MO with P. Thing is, I don't really mind this at all. Let me make this clear- i really hate p,m and o in any shape or form. However, my real battle has always been with MO. If by chance P finds its way into one of my relapses, I know it's not a big deal; the P alone, that is. Once i can quit MO, the P that i do ever end up watching will go away on its own. The urge to MO after P is never there for me; rather, P is just a supplement to some of my MO sessions.
