Gradient in quit porn .. important

    I am in the addiction 20 year have watched everything and when I watch the P spend 3 to 5 hours every 5 days and M 5 to 8 times in week. Now I tried to quit P 1000 times since 2006 and can't, my question is . If I gradient in quit P is that ok or no ?
    My plan is :
    First month : 2 times in week watching P and each time no more than 20 minutes and no femdom or any kind of kink.. only pictures ..
    Second month : 1 time every week and no more 20 minutes same thing pictures only ..
    Third month : I have the power to quit P and the urges became less and only M every week until kill it ..

    Please tell me your opinion
     
  2. This is absolutely acceptable to a degree. If you can begin to limit your use what will happen is you will slowly recover bits of willpower that will allow you to further empower yourself to move a little further away.
    If we view it like a car with different gears it begins to make sense. So right now you are starting at a standstill. You are not moving away from porn at all. But if you try to go all the way to 5th gear immediately what is going to happen? Your car will die and you will be at a stand still once again.
    So instead you go naturally from 0 to gear 1 to 2 and so on.

    Eventually you will reach that point where you have taken back enough control over your mind you will be ready to leave porn. It takes determination, it isn't easy but I see MANY people who join NoFAP with 15-20+ years of addiction and genuinely think they will get off and stay off it in 90 days their first try. Not realizing that porn is a form of hypnosis that is deeply embedded in their brains. It takes persistence and continuous efforts to begin to break the spell as it is not a sprint but a marathon to freedom.

  3. Its common to rationalize and contemplate about your approach. In reality action is the only thing that matters.
    If standing on your head 3minutes every morning helps you do what you planned to do - then stand on your head for 3 minutes every morning.
    Just make sure you are honest with yourself in terms of understanding if it is actually helping.
