Do everything you can to not activate the porn pathways in your brain. Some things will activate the porn pathways more than other things. But do your best to make sure your not activating those porn pathways in your brain.

Right now I'm on day 10 and my longest nofap not using porn streak. Here's the steps I took:
    - Don't just know but actually realize how bad porn fucks us up mentally, make a conscious manly decision to avoid it.
    - Install Porn Blocker add-on to your browser. Decide to never enter a porn site again.
    - When you get thoughts about porn/women and feel like it then go and do something else: go to gym, play games, socialize, whatever you like to do other than fap.
    - Stick to your decision like a man. I'd rather bang girls than be a wanker. Girls don't like wankers.

This is what I'm doing and it works for me. Simple. Good luck!

Being part of this community will help you indeed. I was trying to left it during years. And i think this is a good point of start.

Im here almost a year now I think, and I already know that I will not change an habit of years and years from one day to another.

It takes time, but you will learn how to control yourself, step by step.

    Best of luck

    I'd like to add:
    - Quit all social media! or atleast reduce it to a bear minimum --> IG,FB,Snapchat and yes also Youtube!
    - Don't be afraid of failing! If you fail then learn something of it and then you can continue your journey
    - Gather information about Porn Addiction! Buy books, look in the internet!
    - Start a challenge with your best friend!
    - Start meditating!

    Hope that helps!

Try to occupy yourself with other things, people, goals etc. Get busy MaN.For example, a guy had nofap because of going to the university in another city. His entire way is changed.

If you haven't already done so, please read the "Getting Started Guide" available on this site's home page. It includes a lot of information that you will find helpful as you start your journey of healing. Also have a look at the "Glossary" on the top of this page for definitions of abbreviations and terms that may be new to you.

i m on my 70 days for the first time.
1st U need motivation- why u want to do this. in my case i hv PIED and i want to cure it. thats my biggest motivation everytime i hv urge i remind myself those embarrassing moments i had with my GFs in the past. how humiliating was that nd all.

2nd when u relapsed dont get sad or disappointed or stressed. just think that if u can go this long without pmo then u can go longer now. this will increase ur confidence and will power.

3rd find out the time which u hv urges most. find something to make yourself busy at that time.

4th when u do Nofap, u hv alot of sexual energy. So be physically active- go to gym ,play a sports or dance class etc. this will help u release that energy and also u will be tired so u will sleep early and well.

    5th meditate
6th find your passion and go for it

7th dont consistently think about nofap-
when u trying to quit PMO dont think about it all the time. dont think oh so its been 2 days without pmo or oh 2 and a hald days.......
just relax and live ur life. sometimes i hv to come on this site to see how many day its been without no pmo.

What worked for me was NOT trying to stop with PMO.. yes you read correctly.
Denying yourself things that you want is counter productive.
I'l give you an example: I quit smoking 3 years ago and i used a vape mod to help me quit, every time i felt like smoking i used a vape instead, when i went to a bar and my vape mod battery was empty and i had a craving i just had a cig.. point blank
And a day later went right back into no-smoke and vape only.. Now.. 3 years on.. I barely use the vape mod either.

You need to do this with your pmo addiction as well, the NoFap needs to become a lifestyle and get a healthy substitute that you can use when you do get a craving.. and if you REALLY need to do it you just fucking squeeze one out.. Look at yourself in the mirror afterwards and ask yourself out loud "What exactly did i accomplish with that"? I can give you the answer to that question.. but i think you can figure it out.
Also you need to embrace the challenge, nothing in life that is worth it is easy.. Why would this be any different? Just sit down and logically think what the fucking point of doing it is?

Just enjoy your life with moderation, i have a glass of wine every now and then, a cuban cigar every now and then. I don't drink a bottle of wine on a daily (heck not even weekly) basis. I don't smoke cigars often either..
But it's good to know i can have one if i want one. The pack of cubans i got from a friend has been sitting in my drawer for a little over 6 months now, and only just yesterday smoked one out of a pack of 10..

I have been going 6 years and my conclusion is that the only way is to get rid of your access to the internet otherwise it's too damn difficult/near impossible. I am getting my own place soon and will not be getting the internet, and I am 99% sure this will end my porn addiction. A porn addict having access to the internet is akin to a drug addict having some heroin lying around. The cravings won't be as strong because the brain knows porn isn't available.

It will certainly help. YOU have to be what ends your porn addiction. There are things that can, and will, help you, including not having internet access at home. But ultimately, you have to be the one that heals yourself.

First, wet dreams early on are normal and not a relapse, but they're often a red flag, and will make the following day significantly harder. Sleeping with underwear and pajamas helps prevent them.

Second, I recommend set the exact date you must last until, and mentally chant that date to drown out all those urges.

Third, and most importantly, there's a quote from a couple thousand years ago "whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."
Take that quote as... gospel. I'm dead serious here, don't allow yourself to even look at or think on anything in lust. So go full Jesus-Mode and I promise that makes it easier.
    Good luck brother!

Give up technology => give up p.
Easy to say, but hard to do.
    But this is the reality!
I think this is the hard way.

For me, for example is very hard to overcome p if I lose my time on internet.

  18. And the giving up of tech does not need to be forever. I got away from it for two years when I first started my recovery journey. This was after 25 years of addiction. Those two years were what I needed to break free. Now I am back using computers and phones, but with protections in place and a little bit wiser than I used to be!

I am agree with you, my friend!

After we build self-confidence is easy and again we can use internet.
I think(I hope) after 30 days of no pm we build strong self-confidence.

Yes, you will gain self confidence as you progress along your journey of healing, and that is, generally speaking, a good thing. Do be careful, however, to avoid becoming over-confident in your abilities to continue your journey without any difficulties. Difficulties in the form of urges and temptations will still happen. You need to be aware that they will happen even as you progress your time free of PMO so you still need to be ready to fight the urges and temptations with your full strength. What will certainly help you is to keep your goals, objectives, and reasons "why I am here" continually fresh in your mind. When you lose sight of your goals and objectives, motivation weakens and resets and relapses often follow. Becoming over-confident and forgetting to remind yourself exactly why you are here - and why you need to be here - can lead to losing sight of your "why's" ... and the results won't be good. Keep your goals fresh in your mind. Confidence is good - you can do this - but be wary of over-confidence and maintain your focus on your goals.

One day at a time is how we all succeed.
