I recently came across this website for recovery from porn addiction: http://www.fightthenewdrug.org/

It looks pretty legit and they have a software download for 39 dollars for their recovery programme.

Has anyone used them or has anybody read any of their literature?

    examples:

I dont know wether to commit or not, I wouldnt mind a quic refresher on why I am doing this and to go through some form of programme/tracker online with badges and the likes I feel could really help me I think,

any fapstronauts used/bought any of this??

  2. I've heard of it, even thought about investing in it. I don't know if it is legit, but FTND gets a lot of traffic, mostly from teenagers and young adults. My thing is, I'm not a young adult. I'm about to turn 30, and most of the programs (I've seen) that cater to that demographic are religious in nature, and that does not appeal to me.

This was my concern too, that it would be ultra religious and not cater to my age group. I'm not sure if it would teach me anything I didn't already know about recovery. Also I'm turning 24 next year so I thought that it seemed a little bit juvenile. The one thing I was thinking about getting it for was the software tracker, I know that one could essentially do all the tracking themselves but it would be convenient.

  4. FTND is not technically a religious organization, as they use studies and other seemingly scientific sources to back their agenda. However, most of the ftnd crew is religious, along with the founder. Not saying it's a bad thing, but it all depends on how you take your tea, so to speak.

I signed up with Fortify. Very cool stuff. Non religious as well. Just good stuff to keep you on track.

Fortify helps you a lot focussing on your goals, especially overcoming porn addiction.
I like the fortify concept, if you reach a certain number of porn-free days, you'll get small rewards.

I was thinking about Fortify for a while. I imagine if I paid for it then I would want to commit to it. Don't have the money right now though. And luckily I have found a new source of motivation lately. If that weren't the case, I would consider it.

I have joined fortify since it's inception. It is a wonderful program with great information and they help you with a variety of strategies to overcome your addiction. There are 52 video based lessons that teach you about the addiction, ways to overcome it,strategies you can use,and also delves deeper into the core of the problem. And they have a counter, a 'battle tracker' ,to be exact, that logs the number of days you went porn free. It's not religious. IMO , the fortify program is a really powerful aid to overcome your addiction if you use it consistently.I'm in my 7th week (it's a 12 week program, if you use that timeline).Hope this helps.
