I agree, this is probably the same with everyone to some extent. Just a feeling of shame in doing something that you know isn't the best. I've certainly felt the same way at times although I know that I don't necessarily need to feel ashamed. It's not always helpful to and I don't need to beat myself up. Feeling guilty about my actions (shame - I'm a bad person for doing this; guilt - I'm a good person but that action was bad) seems much more helpful for me in getting back on track with a reboot.

 

That's a good distinction to keep in mind. The shame can ultimately prevent us from getting help.

I felt shame just about every relapse, and before I knew about NoFap I felt it as well... The last year however, I've given myself a break from that. Just a change of mindset I guess, "I've changed a lot, no need to get down over 1 slip up". Not taking it so seriously can often help like that.

I feel kinda pathetic that I can't help but keep coming back to watching people have sex on a pixelated screen.

I also ended up chasing girls that I wasn't really attracted to just to get some action.

Thankfully with NoFap I am settling back to normal brain function.

Yes, I always feel gross after I masturbate. The soaked bed sheets and underwear. The fact that you masturbated to someone’s fake sex and moaning. The cycle of porn addiction.
