Healthy, instant stress relief?

Is there any healthy stress relief that doesn't require me to play video games, watch porn, do drugs, drink, or go to the gym?

Whenever I get very stressed or exhausted I just watch porn. It's the number 1 reason I keep relapsing.

I will consider meditation, but was wondering if anyone else had some suggestions.

    Thanks

  2. Same boat my brother.
I like the gym. My ideal morning is get myself together, drinking some hot delicious coffee and sweating like a psycho. Unfortunately when I get back I end up being a bit run down and want to tug.
A productive hobby is always good. Golf, investing, building something... Reading and study aren't always great because they're easy to.. drift from. Cooking is good.

    Thanks for the replies.

I've been contemplating this for years. Yoga, the gym, rock climbing, walks, and boxing have all helped with different forms of stress. I just feel like porn is similar to smoking a cigarette in the sense that it's instantaneous relief to any issues we have.

Maybe we have to train ourselves to parce through stress for a bit instead of obliterating it through escapism.

Tonight I found that listening to music for a bit on my own was very rewarding and allowed me to unwind. I didn't do anything except sit with my eyes closed.

Tough pill to swallow but I think this is the case. We all need some form of escapism, take some time to release the pressure that concentrates on our day to day.

I read somewhere that addiction is "ritualized comfort seeking". Seeking comfort is not bad, but it will kill you if you do it too much. If you fall asleep in the leafs, a predator will come and eat your head. If you fap too much, you won't be able to contain the energy and focus that you need for a challenging work (my case).

The buddhists say that life is suffering. Choose your own suffering.

You don't need stress relief. You shouldn't be feeling stress in the first place. Fix that issue.

Maybe we are more prone to feeling stress?
