Hello everyone. My name is Ali and I'm 15 and half yo. Two weeks ago I decided to start a PMO and now I am on the 16th day. I am so proud of me! I masturbate since 13 yo. My behaviour with porn started at 14 years. For some long periods I used just to masturbate without watching porn, but since I'm 15 I've watch porn regularly, although porn disgusts me somehow. But 2 weeks ago I met a girl(she elder than me) in a group trip and I had the luck to talk with she about relationships and stuff-like. At that moment I realised that masturbation is a waste of time and energy that affects your social competence(for example talking normal with a girl). I can't say that masturbation is a VERY BIG problem in my life, but that habit isn't for me. In some periods when I was sad, I used to jerk off with the hope that it will help me. BUT THE PMO DON'T HELP YOU. One of my remarks is that the porn isn't moral, porn is just a way of earning money for big producers. One passion that helped me in that 16 days is running. I started seriously the running hobby on December 2018. I remember that on day 10 I had a lot of energy, so I ran 40km in 4hours and 10 minutes. Also I realised that masturbation affects your brain, especially concentration. I do math regullary at olympiad level, so I have a trained brain that suports long time intellectual effort(4-5 hours in a day for example). In that 2 weeks I was able to achieve more skills and have more creative ideas.
I am not a drug consumer and I won't use drug, neither light drugs like weed. Why? Because the problem with brain is real! Read related-experiments of Noam Chomsky and Piaget and you''ll find out that brain is very sensible in protection of its cognitive competences. Honest: I really don't know how real is that fact that porn addiction is like hard drug addiction(drugs like herion, I saw "theories" like). And when I find that PMO affects your brain I said "NO! YOU HAVE TO STOP JERKING!"
Benefits that I feel now, when I quite PMO:
-more energy(that I use in sport)
    -more "brain power"
-social needs and social competences are increasing
    -better sleep
-possibility to talk with a girl better
    -less laziness
I started to have stone erections more often and my body hygiene is simpler, I think.
Thanks for reading my post and sorry for my bad english.

Welcome :) it's good you are taking care of yourself at such a young age, you will have it alot easier than most of us here because your brain is still very very plastic and prone to changes. Wish you good luck on this path, I hope you find something that is worth living for and where you can live your potential for your enjoyment and the betterment of society.
    Peace man :)

Thank you for your post, man, it´s awesome that you are willing to work hard on your future even so young. I wish I had the chance. I´m more than 30 years older and the worst thing is the constant sorrow over the lost years of my life. So I have my fingers crossed for you.
