Greetings NoFap community. I am planning in cutting pornography, masturbation and all other forms of sexual perversion out of my life forever. I know that those are rather large goals, but I am a Christian so they need to be. Porn and masturbation have grown out of control for me. I have been masturbating for about 4 years now and a user of porn for 3. I have tried to cut it before, but not yet had a support network to help me. I hope that this site helps me and that I can help others in turn :)

I will no longer let myself take my phone into the bathroom. This will keep me from watching porn while bathwater is running. I will also refer to the panic button when my urges become extremely strong, typically at night. I am also going to make it a challenge to myself. I will keep myself from becoming bored, as boredom often causes me to watch porn and or masturbate. The Orgasm part sort of takes care of itself when you are single and not masturbating, so that is good :). I am very new to this community and I hope it is not as cold to me as it seems right now. For all I know, DJ, you are automated. You post that exact same message in every single post in the 'new' section. If you are a real human that is watching this thread please let me know. Lack of human interaction is a part of what drove me to become dependent on porn in the first place. Hopefully I find many helpful and supportive people on this site in the future.

Welcome my friend! We're here fighting the same battle...and we're here not in competition, but to help each one of us reach the finish line and not retreat backwards, God-willing! I recommend this thread if you are looking for Christian-oriented NoFap content. I have found a lot of good guys and a lot of inspiration in it. The whole site has a lot of good and helpful people though--it's true what DJ said, we are indeed amongst friends here.

Thanks AjaxTheGreater for directing him to our thread. Yea this community is not a competition like who's got longer streaks whatsoever, it's about friendship, camaraderie, brotherhood, helping each other out in times of need. :)
 
@Hajile Best wishes with your combat. There is still some taste left in us, small salt particles who want to get free. Pornography is a strong and shrewd resister and enemy. It will attack you, it will surprise you and drain you. Nonetheless, breaking free from this addiction is worth it. Keep it up friend. We are here to help and be helped, and we welcome you to NoFap.
