it’s like ,after relapising, feel ing so frustrated, and i can have a relatively clear mind, but after a while(it can be weeks,or sometimes, just a few minutes),those plots, scenes of P start to appear in my mind, they could haunt me for quite a long time as long as i holds the will to fight back, yet it's like, hanging up on a horizontal bar,it’s just a matter of time before i give in. And then ,it all starts from the beginning once again, like a wierd circle which i can't jump out.so how avoid those thoughts in the first place, how to fight them, how to hold them back ,or eventually how to beat them. any suggestion could be
    helpful,thank!

There is no way you can avoid them, my friend. You must let them go and not give up for a few months before you're out of this addiction. If you must relapse, do it without porn. The more you watch porn, the harder it gets to stay sober.

Fighting urges and trigger will only add fuel to the fire. Distraction is what helped: listening to music, taking a walk, jogging, running, working out, cleaning your home out, calling a friend and most importantly staying away from internet etc helps. Get a blocker if you don't have one. Good luck!

Hello, welcome to the forum. I have a similar problem, it's hard to get rid of those thoughts. I'm pretty early in the process myself so I'm hoping eventually they fade. Only one way to find out I guess, keep going. Good luck!

Your story is just like mine. After I relapse I get mad, depressed, disgusted. I want to kick myself. Then I make a decision not to ever watch P or indulge in MO. I know it lasts two weeks. Little by little, I can tell, I start looking around, my language even turns more sexually charged and I can feel getting warm inside. I start looking at myself naked in the mirror and before I know it I am aroused. I turn the internet to read the newspaper, kidding myself, I know exactly where my fingers will go. I kid myself by getting into twitter where people put all kinds of pictures and soon I am into P with a strong urge to MO. Where are all those resolutions. At that point it is too late. I think the problem is THOUGHTS. That is the beginning of all my problems.

If I can manage no to indulge in sex thoughts I can last more than two weeks. If I get involved in conversations with sexual theme I can tell that will be the beginning of my downfall. I do not go to the movies because they excite me. Even music gets my urges going. I know what does it so I try to keep away.

I just hope you can find out what motivates you to watch P. Try to nip it as soon as you feel is going to get out of hand. I am going into my third week and is not getting any easier but I know it can be done because before the computer age I would go without masturbating for months, but with this new technology, it is almost impossible. Hang in there. I will follow you to see how well you are doing

Struggled a lot myself, at day 12 now myself. Three main things that work for me and have proven to work for others:
    - meditate (focussing on your breath and refocussing on your breath when thoughts pop in is basically training to control your thoughts and developing the skill to steer away from arousal thoughts) remember you relapse in your mind before you do in a physical way
    - avoid triggers (sexy images wherever they may appear or anything else that turns you on, work on identifying your triggers first)
    - keep busy, have a clearly planned agenda that says what you should be doing every hour of the day, this way you have something concrete to refocus to (this is also a major help in being productive in general) + it really helps to have structure in your day, this way you can identify your dangertimes (times when relapse is considered imminent, then you can take extra measures)
    - reflect! get a wee book write in it just before you go to bed and reflect on what went well and what didn't, and how you could've avoided whatever went wrong, then make a short plan for tomorrow, this really only takes 10 minutes every night and is very helpful

At the end of the day it's about mastering the skill of controlling your thoughts, this can be developed by practicing the techniques mentioned above.
