Hello there, am a newbie here and am looking to stay motivated and stop watching porn. I use to be sexually very active and had a very healthy sex life until I got hooked to watching porn and pleasuring myself. My relationship is not the same anymore with my partner and I can feel my addiction is causing trouble between us. My hard ons are not stronger anymore or need a lot of stimulus before I get there. I want to stop before it gets too late and I ruin my relationship. Would be great to find mates who help me stay on track. Cheers.

You've come to the right place for accountability. Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and not judge you.

What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

    Welcome. Stay strong.

The situation you described is easily fixed. It just requires some will power, and some action on your part to make better choices. I think you will be good if you can stay strong and keep talking with us.

First, you've done an amazing job in looking inside and figuring out that the issue isn't easy to give up. Just the fact that you landed here (and at your age) says a lot about your intentions. So, round 1 has already been won, and you are the victor.

The rest is keeping those urges from making you do anything that distracts you from your partner. I'm 50 days into my reboot, and even though I'm older than you, I can tell that the world of sex is changing for me.

Stay committed. We stand together in this. Your struggle is real, and you are a better person for even giving this a go. The rest is just living up to the commitment. Even if you stumble, don't feel this is a test of your worth. You're worth was proven when you realized you wanted to make your relationship better. The rest is just practice, and making sure you can dodge the triggers long enough for them to wear off on you.

    Thanks, Mate. I Appreciate that.

Quite honestly, I don't know what all do I need to do but all I know is that I gotta maintain a strong will power and stay away from porn or any stimuli. What all has worked for you in your journey? Mind sharing?

Thanks so much, appreciate it. I guess at this point I need all the motivation I can get and your words mean a lot. While I don't have a very clear plan as to what and how am gonna achieve this, all I know is that I gotta be strong and take it from there. And of course people like you always help.

Welcome to the community. This is an awesome place for support and ideas. First off, remember to take this journey one day at a time and be patient. I recommend that you start a journal in the appropriate section. In that journal make sure to create a set of rules for your reboot along with some goals. Also, create an action plan that you can enact as soon as you start to feel triggered. This can save precious seconds. Remember to record your thoughts and feelings throughout your journey in your journal. This could also be something you can share with your partner, not only will it show them you are serious about quitting PMO, it can also help the two of you heal together. PMO has affected your partner and they can use healing as well.

In my signature there are some links you can start out with that are very helpful. I hope this helps. Welcome again. Stay strong!

Thanks a bunch, mate. This is super helpful. Appreciate it. It's kinda good to know that am not alone in this. Plus, knowledge is power. I feel kinda prepared now for what's to come.
