Welcome to the site. I am one of the more blunt and preachy members, so please don't let my rant discourage you.
I'm actually glad you've brought up the topic of post-nut clarity. It is a very interesting subject. Here are my thoughts:
Post nut clarity is a convenient and deceptive bargaining chip used to make excuses for problematic amounts of masturbation. Does jerking off make you think more rationally for a short time? Sure, because you aren't horny for a little bit. But men will always have a strong sex drive, and learning to control it forever is way more effective than feeding it once or twice a day. And I will let you in on a secret: NoFap clarity (the clarity you get after completely rebooting from PMO) is far greater than post-nut clarity and doesn't require you to be a slave to your own self-destructive habits. Rather, it is the result of hard work, impulse control, and self-liberation. My friends use the argument of post-nut clarity to make a case for avoiding NoFap, but I know that they just feel like it is too hard to quit. I understand this completely. The truth is, in order to achieve post-nut clarity, you need to masturbate. And it only lasts a few hours to a day. Then you have to do it again. This inevitably leads to a compulsive type of behavior which is damaging to many people.
It sounds like you have trouble controlling your urges once they begin to set in, and you make excuses to relapse, telling yourself that it will ease your mind afterwards and you will be able to think clearly. Even if this is true, you are forming a dependence relationship so that you rely on porn and masturbation in order to feel normal. But this is not normal or healthy at all! You say that you are addicted to porn, and fapping only reinforces this mindset - it does not free you from sexual thoughts because the sexual thoughts will come back. If you do not train yourself to withstand the urges, then the urges will always control you. You can start by dismissing the idea that you need porn and masturbation in order to function normally and think clearly.
I am not anti-porn or anti-masturbation, but I encourage you to find motivation to abstain from PMO. You can make 90 days. I have made 90 days and I plan to do it again. I have experienced what I call NoFap clarity. It was the most incredible feeling I've experienced in a long time. I felt so confident, so disciplined and so energetic. I saw people as people, and didn't let my urges control me. I still got horny but I didn't go crawling into my room to jerk off at the slightest inclination. I used that drive to accomplish more important things in life. You can do this if you desire it, so I wish you luck. Motivate yourself, because this is all for you.
