Hi, everyone! Nice to meet you all. I'm very excited about getting involved in NoFap community.
I'm 16 years old male currently in school. I've been using porn since I was 12. Ever since that, I'd always feel gross and very guilty while masturbating and/or watching porn, even though I know that having sexual desire is normal.
I've tried several times going without masturbating and/or watching porn, but the longest I've held it was 21 days. At first it wasn't that hard for me, but within the last seconds before masturbating, I really couldn't stop myself. It was like that I was being controlled, lol. I know, sounds kind of dumb, but I'm just being honest. It just makes me feel really gross and guilty, I'm sorry to offend anybody by that, but it's just what I feel. I wish to stop masturbating for once and all. This is my day 1!
Hopefully, I'll find support here and get help.
I wish you the best of luck!

    Welcome to the Nofap community.
The NO PMO journey is not easy but worth the effort.
    The community will support you.

21 days NO PMO is great. Congratulations!
Of course you can stop yourself. Focus on what you really want: true happiness.
Having sexual desires is normal? I agree, it’s natural. But we have to learn to deal with it the right way. Only a few people realize how addicted they are to P and M. To many of them sex turns into addiction and self- created suffering.
It’s our choice not to become a victim of lust and to avoid wasting time. It’s our choice to respect ourselves and to get rid of any addiction.

There is a lot I cou;d say to inspire you, but you're no idiot and you know what a horrible habit MO can be and how much it's worth it to kick it, so I'll skip the cheerleading. Instead, I am going to scare the hell out of you with this: I am 49 and I've been addicted to PMO since my first dialup connection. Only in the last two years have I taken the issue by the horns and been in recovery. Unaddressed, this addiction will NEVER just go away when you graduate, or when you have kids, or when you move to that city you always wanted to move to, or when you get married. You have got to proactively get a handle on this now or it is going to drag your life down for decades. If you do not believe me, feel free to hed to the 40+ forum and ask those guys, you won't be kicked off that forum or anything and they'll be happy to back me up on this since most of us there have been addicts longer than most everyone else, yet we've found freedom. But the good news is that if it's not too late for me to get on the wagon and be successful in handling it at 49, then it's all the better for you to start doing so early in life. i.e. NOW, and like many here, you can do so successfully although that may be the toughest thing you have yet done. But through this you will not only find recovery, but you will find that you are stronger than you know, and that you are not a pussy nor a mouse, you are a *man*. When you have passed through the initial, rough days of going clean, you're gonna walk in the sun and it's going to feel like it's the first time it's ever shone on your face. Really. You're going to try to imagine how much better life will be, but you're not going to be able to see just how much better until you get there. Trust me, life really can be that much better, and you can make it and you will make it. You can be in this very rare brotherhood of modern men who are saying "No" not just to PMO, but to the morass of immediate gratification and sex in which this society should be shamefull to be so awash in. You'll see just how much that is true when you get there. It IS a brotherhood and an elite one at that, one whose membership therein you can be very proud of. Keep coming back whenever you need, keep us posted on your progress and remember to also offer support to others. Welcome to the fold, brother!

P.S. This is strictly my own opinion, but I don't think one has not earned the title NoFapstronaut (I don't know why we call ourselves "Fapstronauts" since fapping is what we're trying to not do.) until they have two weeks abstinence under their belt. NoFapstronaut is a title, and all titles in life have to be earned. Any title that is not earned and is conferred on someone "just because" is worthless, like a black belt handed out to someone who just showed up at the dojo. That's the "buy-in", two weeks, and the only amount of time you need to be aiming for right now. Hopefully you will go way longer after that, but for now, keep 2 weeks is the prize that you are going for. When you get to that spot, you message me directly and I will post something wherein I will congratulate you and address you, for the first time, as a NoFapstronaut.

You're doing great. It's not always an easy thing, this NoFap, but go for it. Hopefully you can inspire your friends in time.

  7. Heyyy welcome to the NoFap forum : ) It's nice to see you here fighting the good fight alongside us!

    Here is just some advice:

First and foremost please take a look at each section in the forum, there might be something(s) you may find of big help to you. Feel free to post there :+)

Then secondly I just strongly advise you to be active on your profile(as there quite a few active people in the profile section). Please start by choosing an avatar and then make daily status posts to show you're active and needing support/encouragement. They've also got a neat little feature that shows freshly posted statuses for all users to see. People will find your profile and give you encouragement/support.

People (are beginning to) love communicating in the profile section..(it should be and is )mostly spportive talk but it doesn't hurt to deviate from supportive talk. It would be great to have you join in and support others in the threads, profiles, and journal, we could always use your help and in return you shall receive some as well!

Thirdly, You should also highly consider creating a public journal and write about your days in more depth for us members to follow along your journey and offer support to you by way of posting in your journal.

Last but not least: Good luck on your journey here, make sure to really give it a try with all your heart!
