    Hey everyone..Im not sure how to put in..cause my english is not the best.

    My porn-watching carrer stated when i was 13...First I thought i was the only one who is watching porn. But later at school suddley everybody at my age was talking about is. So I thought it is a normal thing. When i realise it is not a normal thing..was when i got religious to christianity I think with forteen. So far so good...

    As a Christian I fall in that trap everytime. I had moments I could last for months but than when things went wrong..or when life went wrong I turn around and watched porn. It was really bad..because on the one side I knew it was wrong and on the other side I felt to live for jesus was my purpose. So I struggle with me told my Pastor about it..He said to me there are also members in the church who also struggle with the same issue. He also warned me that i could really damage my life. I listen really carefully to him so tried my best to get away with PMO.

    At age 18/19 I literally gave up. I left the church and thought I will never get over it and because i cant i cant live for jesus. So in the world without church and religion i lived my life. Drink, Partying, do PMO as much as i like and have sex with girls. I hornest at first it was fun but with the time i realised..where is my life going? What is my purpose in this Life.

    Too make it short:
    I went back to Church but did ignore that the PMO Problem was still there. I still ignored it. I fall in love in the church with a girl..We dated and we really did not kiss or slept together. So everything was just amazing with her. And she knew about my issue. And hornestly she was afraid that when we have kids..that they will struggle with the same issue.

    Finally after a time..We did not sleep together a made a proposal and she said "Yess". The feeling that she said yess was on that day really amazing. But there was one condition...from her side..I hade to stay clean.

    As you can imaging I did not make it. I literally ruin her life..we had to canceled the wedding and everybody knew about it.

    I still love her. And now when i look back..how many opportunies I had..good chances for good decicions..I ruined with PMO. I see know that PMO not just ruined my love for life. It also ruined my social life...Im not really interested to talk to people..I rather stay at home and isolated myself..I lost my dignity...Sometimes I cant really look women in a good manner.

    Thats my story:
    And please for all religious people...Dont come with something like..Jesus will help you. I still believe in Jesus..

    Why I posting this?
    I just want to give me a try...

  2. Hey @daniel lighton ,

    Welcome to NoFap! You are in the right place.

    I'm just a regular member on here, so take what I say as my experience. I found that I needed to:

    1. Learn the NoFap program.

    2. Get involved with the community.

    The best resource I found was the “Getting Started with NoFap” guide. It is on the NoFap homepage and you can download it for free from this link https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php?threads/new-users-list-of-rebooting-resources.50878/

    Then, watch this video:

    It is really good and explains so much about how the blasting of porn images into the brain in high definition on high speed internet while slamming porn sounds into the ears with headphones can literally change the way your brain demands sexual stimulation.

    The video explains it better than I can.

    Also, a great page is https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php?threads/new-users-list-of-rebooting-resources.50878/ my experience is that by reading every link and watching every video, I learned so much.

    Then, I got involved with the community. I'm not anyone special on here, I don't have any magic powers. But, I can say hello to new members, post my journal entries, remember to “like” peoples posts, and offer my experience, strength and hope where appropriate.

    Looking forward to seeing you around on the forums,

    --> L

    PS - I Think of pmo like a wolf. When I stay near the center of the group and stay with the winners, the wolf has a more difficult time finding me. But, if I stop working at NoFap and stray near the edges of the community, then the wolf can pick me off.

  3. One of the ways I got involved with the fellowship was by reading some really great journals. Reading other's stories with their victories and even defeats is a big part of my program.

    I've included journals from all age groups, spiritual members, religious members, secular members, male and female. You should find journals that help. If not, look around, there are hundreds of others from which to choose. When I say "it works if you work it", reading journals is part of that work.

    Once you open a journal, click "Watch Thread" in the upper right of the page to get alerts when new posts are made. Here are just a few:

    There are many more, and you can discover them on your own. But, these are great places to start.

    This is a work in progress. So, if a journal has changed or is no longer active, look around there are some amazing journals on here.

    --> L

    PS - Starting a journal also helped me a great deal.

    The journals are listed by age groups on the forum start page.

    Most members run one journal only. That way both the member and others can go back and look at their journey at a later time.

    Hope to read your journal soon. Also, in your personal details you can put a link to your journal. Then, appears under your avatar.

  4. For me NoFap is 1/2 program & 1/2 fellowship.

    Click on these people and post a "hello" on their profiles.

    I've found that the bricks that hold this community together are cemented with the support of the members of the fellowship.

    @romlel
    @LeoJohn
    @Gray Wolf
    @StarLightReboot
    @Chriss27
    @ludwig525
    @hoping_cannon
    @SteelshoT
    @reystronaut
    @2525
    @weddingnails
    @PatrickR

    Look at with whom they exchange messages and you will find more profiles.

    So, if you would have found more profiles yourself, why suggest these particular ones as a start? Those relationships started with just saying hello. So, my ESH is that saying hello has kept the fellowship alive for myself.

    Looking forward to your success and in seeing you say hello on these profiles,

    --> L

    A lot of us here are Christian & know the struggle; thanks for sharing your individual story. It’s courageous of you to try and overcome this & kudos, kudos. There's still time to take life back.

    Looking forward to your journal entries dude.

    And, the more I talk about it, on here or to people I trust, even church advisors (who are open and more knowledgeable about this topic and understand our humanness) I become more comfortable with tackling it.
