Hey! I just wonder how far I should go, in this serie Farscape there is some sexy women, they aren't undressed and I'm just trying to find where I should put my boundary. I feel like I should watch it making a smooth transition. I'm giving up porn and if I'm capable also masturbation, 4th day now and I'm already noticing improvement.

Also I'm noticing some withdrawal since I'm discovering how much else there is to do out there in the world, and that I want to be part of.

    Some advice?

I really enjoy this series and therefore I wonder. Should I watch series with slightly undressed women or skip it totally, cold turkey?

I have the same problem. I call it "The Sopranos problem". I love the Sopranos, but there are fairly explicit sex scenes, and about 25% of the series is set in a working strip club.

Obviously nothing porn can be watched. But we also have to avoid "porn substitutes." For me that would be bikini pics, cheerleaders, Hooter's girls, lingerie models, etc. Of course, there is no way to avoid that completely; there are nude dancers on the Sopranos, and our society uses sex to sell, so hypersexual imagery is everywhere.

I use a simple trick; I just look away or close my eyes when those images appear on the Sopranos. Before, I would drink them in, now I just close my eyes. Listen to the scene, and when you understand the images that might trigger you are no longer on the screen, open your eyes and keep watching. I know this sounds so simple it is stupid, but I do this, and it actually works. This would not work for porn scenes by the way because the sounds would trigger remembered images for me.

    Good luck on your journey.

I always agree with William on this. While each of our journies are different, I cannot watch things that may (or will) trigger me to release dopamine. You should begin to feel it at some point - whats safe to watch and what is not.

I had a situation a couple weeks ago where someone I followed on FB posted some explicit photos. They werent nude by any means, but they got me going. I unfriended the girl, and I'm glad that I did.

So, while it may be ok for some people to view something like that, I know that I'm a lust addict as much as I am a high speed porn addict, so I abstain from any things that push me towards lust.

Hope this helps, and all the best -

Thanks, closing eyes sounds great. I'm starting to realize that maybe I need to cut out all the porno around me like transitionally so I wont hit an all time low lol, just not masturbating and watching real porn gives me a great effect by itself I notice.

Whatever it is, if it makes you lust or tempts you back to PMO, then drop it. Flee from it. Burn it all down!

I don't think I'm that deep in, sure sometimes I want to look on photos girls have sent in the past, but I haven't been tempted for porn in days now. Feels good.
