Hi, I'm 33 y/o and I tried this once before, lasted about a week, relapsed. I've been viewing porn for about 20 years and it has caused pied and inability to orgasm. I definitely feel that it has ruined multiple relationships. Also has ruined my confidence and willingness to try to date again for fear of the embarrassment of not being able to perform. I've made it 7 days so far. I asked a close friend to install software on my wifi that blocks pornography. I'm also working on loosing weight (10 lbs in the first week) eliminating sweets and sugary drinks and energy drinks from my diet. Also, haven't drank alcohol in 23 days. I'm trying to get rid of all my addictions and harmful behaviors. I still smoke cigarettes but that's the next to go after I get through the hardest part of the others.

  3. its okay what you have done till now leave behind...begin with new fresh start... yeah 20 years of PMO will obviously brings PIED and other many issues... but thing is don't focus on PIED focus on primary issue thats absorption of porn... because PIED will eventually vanish sooner or latter once you give up PMO... failure are mirror of our mistake try to visualize them where you went wrong... may be multiple relationship failed still u have chance to make ur life better...
be active on this site and be more socialize and be more active so that your brain remain engage in other activity... relapsing will occur and dont criticize yourself too hard for that... also decide your goals whether you want to quit just pmo, or also alcohol along with cigarette too... whatever your goal is just make clear and focus on that too...yeah you can use software to block pornography on wifi... but make sure you control your urges while you are at some other wifi.. since its 20 years so somewhere it will take months to cure your pied till then have patience even though if no sign of improvement appear in starting of month dont loose hope.. it is all inside brain so brain knows very well how to manipulate you to make you watch porn...
rest have a safe journey...incase of any help we are all here to help you...good luck

Hi lasko. Thanks for sharing this. Changes come slowly, specially if you want to beat an addiction (or more). So keep striving day by day and don't decay.

  5. Hey, welcome to the NoFap community
    : )

It's nice to see you here fighting the good fight alongside us!
First let me go ahead and drop some helpful links for you:
Getting Started Guide / Forum Rules / How to Use the NoFap forums/ Glossary/ NoFap Panic button/
Set up your day counter /
    Rebooting Resources/
    Accountability groups (new!)/
    About NoFap/ Support NoFap

    Here is just some advice:
First and foremost please take a careful look at each section in the forum, there may be something(s) you will find to be of big help to you.

Secondly I advise you to be active on your profile(as there a few active people in the profile section). Please start by choosing an avatar and then begin posting frequent status posts to show you're active and needing support/encouragement.
The forum has got a neat little feature that shows freshly posted statuses for all users to see.
People will find your profile and give you support.

There’s a portion of people who love communicating in the profile section..(it should be and is )mostly spportive talk but it doesn't hurt to deviate from supportive conversations. It would be great to have you join in and become part of the team!
We support others in the threads, profile posts, and journals/reboot logs.
Once you receive some support, please be sure and be grateful to the member for the help/support you received and consider giving some in return to anyone you wish.

Thirdly, you should highly consider creating a public journal/reboot log (in the appropriate sectionfor you) to write about your days in depth for us members to follow along on your journey and offer support to you on.

Please start your journal in the correct section and with that, also try your best to post in the correct sections as it is mandatory and would be helpful to the mods who organize the forum. : )

Last but not least: Good luck on your journey here, make sure to really give it a try with all your heart!

    Hi everyone,

I've been doing really well. Checking in here reading the forums when urges started to feel strong. Diet has been great, down 30 pounds in just over 30 days. No alcohol in 50 days, no caffeine in 32. Today was day 34 without PMO. I woke up in the middle of the night and started mindlessly scrolling Instagram. I saw a handful of proactive pictures that got me slightly aroused (far faster than ever before). I put the phone down and ended up MO but I wasn't thinking about the pictures, any porn, any past or fantasy experience. I only focussed on the way it felt. I don't ever remember being able to MO without P (there were times I couldn't even do it with P). I'm not sure if I should consider this an indication that I'm on my way towards healing or if this was a setback.

Any advice or words of wisdom?
