    Hi everyone,

I am excited to be part of the NoFap community and walk with other Fapstronauts in this journey to recovery.

I'm a 28 year old male. I discovered pornography when I was hitting puberty around 12 yrs old. I've been hooked to porn and masturbation since then.

During my years of acting out (PMOing), I have become unhappy with my life. My social anxiety increased and my outlook of life became very dark. When I was in college I realized I had an addiction to pornography and made my initial effort to quit PMO. I relapsed many times but kept fighting to stay sober.

Today, I am still fighting. I'm close to hitting the 30-day mark of being clean!

I have been attending 12-step recovery meetings (SAA) for almost a year. Attending recovery meetings and having a sponsor to be accountable to and work the steps have been extremely beneficial to my recovery.

Anyways, I am very thankful for this site and I look forward to share life with the NoFap community.

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

The enemy is here to steal, kill and destroy. What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

Thanks D.J. for the encouragement! My current stragegoes are: Netnanny (blocking software), attending 12-step recovery meetings, calling my sponsor, working the steps, reading books and articles about recovery, watching videos on recovery, meditation.
