    Hi, my name's Pete.

I've been struggling with porn use for my entire adult life, and I've been telling myself I'm going to do something about it for years, but always find reasons to put it off or relapse. It's negatively affected at least one, if not two of my long-term relationships, and I recently realised that I use for escapism/avoidance/stress, and not for the high sex drive I've always told myself I have.
I only found out this morning that there was a community out there going through something similar, and after battling the "just one more time" syndrome, I decided that today's the day I fix this.
I'm starting a 90 day reboot challenge right now. I know already that this will be one of the hardest things I've ever done and feel thankful to have found this community to help me stay strong.

    Welcome!

Good to have you here mate. Sorry to hear the effect it’s had on your life but the most important thing is that you’re here now! Stay strong and remember those reasons when things get tough.

Don’t focus too much on the 90days yet. Just see how far you can go, doing your best to abstain. Read around the forums, get familiar with what to expect and post stuff yourself. And if you ever feel the urge, jut get back in nofap and ask for help :)

    Good luck!

    Welcome to the Nofap-community.

This is a good place to get rid of addiction. The NO-PMO-journey is not easy but worth the effort.

    We will support you.

  4. What's goin on man? I'm new here too. If I had any advice, I'd say start with the 7 day challenge and go from there. Baby steps.

I found this community last night because I couldn't sleep from PMO. So far it's been great and I can stick to using all the resources here. Good luck to you!

    Hi guys,

thanks for your words of encouragement and advice on starting smaller than 90 days. I think that I need to focus on each day at a time, and when that feels like too much, then just getting through the next hour, minute, breath etc.
Knowing that there are other people out there going through this with me is already doing a lot to strengthen my resolve.
    Thank you my friends

If you drop the ball, pick it back up, dust it off and move forward. Always forwards

    Welcome..you can do this.

Read, read, read .. plan your time (make a schedule) .. fill your time up as much as possible with constructive activities (working out, going for a walk/drive, reading) .. keep coming back to this forum at least once or twice per day.

I find that "constructive activities" usually mean off my laptop where P is just a click away.

Good luck .. you CAN do this!

Thanks for the advice, I'll try to keep as busy as possible.
Trying to keep away from triggers and avoid alone time as much as possible. I still need to use my laptop for yoga instruction and an online mindfulness course I've just started but apart from that I'm going to be strict with myself as I find idle browsing always ends up going in one direction given enough time.

  10. You'll be successful. Just start working on new stress relief techniques now, so you don't try to avoid them with PMO, in the future. Nofap can work for you.
