Holy shit does it ever end?

    I'm now 40 and I've been fapping for more than half my life. 5-15 times a day depending on if anyone is home. How the hell do I stop!? Porn blockers don't work, therapy doesn't work, pills don't work, hypnosis doesn't work. If I could get down to once per day I'd feel relief. Is this what I have to look forward to at 50 and 60??

  3. Just relax, you dont need no pills or hypnosis, you got to work it out YOURSELF. Its all in your head, its probably going to be tough, but just take a deep breath and tell yorself - I can do it. Change your daily routine, exercise, work on the things that you like and surround yourself by the people you love, and always think about the benefits of nofap and consenquences of fapping. Try to think about porn from a different angle , tell yourself that its absurd and disgusting, and at the same time dont think about at as a big deal, because its just one stupid think thats trying to weaken your brain. Stay motivated, work your ass off every day and change is definitely going to come, sooner or later
     
  4. 15 times a day?? How in the fuck? I once did it 5 or 6 times in one day when I was a teenager and I thought my junk was gonna fall off it hurt so bad

    other than that, have u tried fasting? ur body prioritizes food over s, so you might give that a try. also, you strengthen your will by fasting.

    Hey dude... Im in my 40s as well and have struggled with this so maybe I can give you some hope. 'End'? I'm not sure I'd classify it that way. Its closer to fade. The key is to keep sticking with it. I am frankly in the minority on this board as I do not think that counting the days is the way to fight addiction. You only fight it one day at a time. You need to say 'no to porn for just today...' that's it. Tomorrow takes care of itself. I prefer to note how many days in a year I pmo vs streaks. Last year I PMO'd 5 times as opposed to the years before when I can say it was easily over 365. How many 90 day streaks did I have? I don't know. Does it matter? No because its an improvement in the long term not looking at the small micro. WHat this means. If you relapse. Pick yourself up. Forgive yourself and keep going. But remember the pain and disappointment that wiil keep you going forward. Relapses are part of all recovery. Keep going.

    Back to your original point. I wouldn't say it goes away but it slowly fades into the BG of your mind. Did you ever have a music style or group you listened to a bunch and then a few years later you wonder why you were so into them? You never forget you litsned but you changed as a person so that music doesn't appeal in the same way. Anyway good luck! Its worth sticking with and doing. TRUST ME!

    Yes getting through one day is the best way to start fresh. A sleep cycle refreshes the brain and makes it ready for new memories. As we get older we make fewer memories with time as doesnt change much in our life so we need to introduce more structure in our life and get rid of fantasies and bring more realities. To develop the learning ability of a child combined with wisdom and knowledge of an adult.

    Hey, i would like to share something I read and tried online. Did not succeed though, you can it a try. Its called a breaking trigger chain. So, eventually we all get triggers that make us think of fapping, right? So its a chain. Once you get that trigger, you slip into a blanket, start you mobile and there you go. So if you can replace this starting your mobile and watching porn with starting you mobile and playing an easy game..things would furn out different. Also, surround your self more with people it will have 2 advantages 1. You will not be alone to fap 2 As you progress this life, you will have a great group of people.

    Some radom tries that i have given, not sure if it works for you but give a try.

    Well, my record is 20 times in one day but if I said that nobody would believe me... and that's a part of the problem. I can't find any help because people think I"m trolling or there's just nothing out there for my chronic case. Basically I work from home and my job is very easy. I sit in front of a laptop and I have a LOT of free time, but I'm chained to the computer and I can't leave it. Every time I feel a sense of loneliness, stress, excitement, sadness, I turn to porn as a sort of band-aid. My wife is oblivious to it or pretends not to know about it. I wish I was lying because it's better than the alternative. This is a curse that I've dealt with since I was 13.

    Yes, the first time I water fasted I made it 5 days without food, the second time 13 days, then my latest water fast was 20 days. Even though I had barely enough energy to breathe I still did it by day 3. Which I regretted every time because it felt like it may have been bad for my heart.

    It's just like anything that you do a lot. Your body gets used to it. My balls got bigger, my dick less sensitive. Everything just comes out in drops.

    This is the best advice I think. It feels like there's something emotional tied to it. What that emotion is I can't pinpoint but it's there.
    This all started around the same time as some traumatizing stuff in my life.

  17. You're likely to have resets. Not necessarily, but probably. So..

    Do your best to avoid resetting. But if you do..

    Do your best to not watch porn, ever. You could reset to a "realistic" fantasy or to a tame porn-substitute (a picture of a fully clothed woman or something like that), or some guys manage to do it "just to the feeling" or something like that. If you do this kind of thing it's much easier to avoid..

    Bingeing. You have to do your best not to have multiple resets, or one really really long reset. Get straight back on track.

    No matter how bad it gets, never quit. All the streaks will add up. If you try hard and end up resetting 100 times a year, that's still a lot better than 400 or 800 times a year. But keep improving.

    No. Not that I can recall. There’s just less and less liquid as the day goes on. Sometimes it burns but not long enough to care. Or I’ll get pains in my balls or my left hip.
