HOW ARE YOU ALL DEALING WITH COVID AND PMO?

  1. Alright. So I picked a great time to start fighting this addiction. Today was by far the worst day. Temptations started in the AM and gradually got worse throughout the day. Unwanted sexual thoughts like wanting to watch my favorite stars etc were raging. I am lucky that I thought of the idea of getting blockers for apps on phone and laptops and giving the codes to a friend who I can trust. So there is no way I can relapse. But I am going to have to get ready to fight and I know its only going to get worse. How are you guys dealing with strong urges etc? Please I need some help.
     
  2. I've been relapsing every day and binging on video games - I'm talking 20 hours nonstop gaming, then I feel bad and relapse at night.

    One good strategy is to have small accomplishments every day. Do something on your to-do list and try to be productive, even if you only get a few things done.

    And verbally tell yourself, "I don't want to jerk off every day." I keep a physical diary which helps focus my thoughts. Writing can be very effective for personal development. If you don't have a journal on this site you should make one.

    If by chance I do get sick I want all the bodily necessities to be at the forefront at all times. The urges come , but I’ve weathered them more than enough to know that they go and don’t last longer than a day for me. Basically I’m using the social distancing to be the strongest possible version of my self to be able to tackle whatever may come may way. Rather than expelling the most vital nutrients my body is processing.

    This is indeed a hard time for me too, i didn`t relapse yet but i feel that if this quarantine keeps going i might relapse and its a very frustrating thought..:confused:
     
  6. - Bro, if you relapse you're going to lose all that energy. You are going to feel weak afterwards. WHY WOULD CHOOSE TO FEEL WEAK?
    - Also, take a break from screen-time. No screen-time if you have a strong urge. Unless you have full control over your urges just stay away from any technological device (even then it's a risk I wouldn't take).

    Keep moving forward.

    Something I've been trying to do is writing out a to do list for myself every morning. Helps keep me focused during the day so I'm not sitting in idle.
