How Can I Block Twitter Even Through Incognito?

    I believe that Twitter is my biggest source of relapse at the moment. It just provides you lots of free P contents that although are mainly short ones, but the quantity exceeds your demand already. Unlike other P sites that have been blocked in my country for years (most of them aren't even accessible through proxies which is a good news), Twitter is a huge chain of social network which for me seems impossible to be banned in my country. I've tried parental control apps and set a random generated password but they just won't work through Chrome Incognito.

    Any idea how to solve this problem?

    K9 web filter will do the job for you. I blocked Twitter too because of the problems you just mentioned

    Does it work in android mobile phones? Cause I almost never open P sites on my desktop.

    Lol I don't even sign in to my twitter account. I browse anonymously with incognito so there's no point in signing in. And bruh, as I mentioned I don't use my computer that much. It's the matter of my mobile phone (which I'm using mainly to listen music, read my online Bible, communicate with my family & open NoFap) that I cannot avoid using everyday that has let me down several times. I haven't found any way to block twitter.com through chrome's incognito however, which serves as a huge problem every time strong urges hit me.

    ah i see, i dont have a twitter account and have never been on there but i can talk for some of the other apps i use to use on my mobile. I use to be addicted to facebook, instagram and snapchat and use to use them constantly for looking at girls (especially Instagram). All i did to stop using them was basically delete all the apps, though i need facebook for work related stuff so i go on only for that.

    Something that may help you is managing the time you spend on your mobile phone so you're not mindlessly wasting time or searching. Our brains are more prone to relapse when we are not in control (watching tv, netflix, youtube, social media). Maybe don't use it at night or turn it off. Something that works for you.

    Another thing is to have a plan in place for when those strong urges hit you, so that instead of automatically going on twitter you act out another activity instead. For me its very small but it works. When i have an strong urge i will immediately do a few things. 1) i turn off my phone straight away and leave it in my room 2) i go out and spend time with my family, maybe have a tea or water for a period of time, all this does is interrupt thought processes. I have my plan written out and i look at it everyday (it has other things on it aswell) which re enforce what i want to be doing and avoiding and i also practice that plan so i don't have to think about it when those strong urges hit.

    Yeah I guess there's no guaranteed way to block twitter forever in my mobile phone (I've read your advice Tt1000, gonna check out on Norton). But as you just said, I am working out on making my schedule as tight as possible. Tbh night time isn't the worst time for me to control these urges, but instead its in the afternoon when I often take a short nap to relieve myself from school exhaustion. After I woke up the urges surround me completely till I can't resist them anymore. That is why I am avoiding home as much as I could, by either running away to my friend's hse to play music together or do some football. It's just those times where I don't have the chance to go to my friend's hse & thus have to stay home that usually kill my streaks. Now I'm planning to reencourage myself to do some workout again & try to build my body once again. That way my free time isn't going to be wasted just like that *especially if its wasted for PMO*.

    Will try the 'write your things to do today' soon. I heard that written words are far better than typed schedule planners in your electronic devices. Thank you!

    Dude I have exactly same problem. In fact I only watched p on twitter and once on youtube. After relapses always promising myself I will block and leave and avoid twitter but keep coming back. I deactivated my account two weeks ago but sometimes urges to "just open twitter" come back. I know they eventually lead to relapse as the past showed me. Ugh

    So basically your danger time of the day is just after you nap. So you said you want to work out, you could work out right after you nap or even just go for a walk around the block. This effectively interrupts your brain from thinking about porn without using your will power, because you're no longer bored or around the house trying to resist a relapse.

    Remember you only really need a plan for the times when you know you could relapse or give in. Its great you are at school because that takes up a nice portion of the day, so you don't have to worry there. So you only need to plan for the period in time when you come home from school until you go to bed.

    I've tried the 'do something else rather than nothing' method just today, and it worked. I got no intentions to open p on twitter at all. So basically after school's over I went home (this afternoon I didn't get to go to my friend's hse), resist my sleepy eyes as hard as I could then began to have some exercises. It really was not a heavy one but I just wasted my napping time on that. I managed to avoid my bedroom, and after working out I read my Bible then boom, time flies quick like a bullet. Without myself realizing I just passed the most vulnerable times for me to relapse. In short, just try to find something to do during the time when you're most prone to have strong urges. Just like the others have said. Goodluck man.

    Lol that is absolutely why I'd want to block this particular website. Like seriously, they like literally provide you p content for free and don't even give any f to those accounts. Hope the creator understands how impactful p contents are to humanity (that's if they want to).

    Lol yesterday after I relapsed I was so enraged, I didn't even like it. It was so involuntary I watched myself helplessly do it. The thing is i went to Jack (twitter's founder) and I gave him a piece of my mind! Seriously why would you put p on a social platform. It messed my life for 4 years.

  16. The best filter anyone can get is a mind filter. You get a mind filter by developing self-control/discipline.
    I know at times you can feel desperate after you relapse and just want to access to stop - I felt that way yesterday. But the fact is self-control/discipline is the key to stop relapsing.

    Unfortunately im back there. I just finished 1 day no pmo, and feeling a little better but still no motivationn. Im doing my daily tasks as before, but when im alone i just grab phone and scroll on twitter. I hope i get back to my determination which is less now obviously

    You lose self control and self dicipline, along with will power aswell after you become addicted to porn due to decreased grey matter in your brain.

    The problem is not self control or self discipline but rather getting out of the constant cycle of addiction. Once youre out of that cycle then it comes down to self discipline as you say, but during the cycle (where most of us nofappers are at and are struggling) we are weaker and therefore more prone to relapse. Self control and will power is often not enough and what most of us need is a structered plan and some good habbits to help get through that tough addiction period.

    I am trying real hard to build up this new habit I'm working on. It does work so far fortunately, and I've abstained myself for 4 days now. Guess it's the only way to gtfo from twitter at freetimes and rather just do anything else that is more productive. Thank you all for the advices. See you guys on the top cause I believe certainly that we all can break free of this curse!
