How common is HOCD ?

Not very common from the articles that I've read. The LGBTQ community says that is just a phase of denial, so... I have something similar, but from what I see it's getting better, and the thing that causes it was porn, not real experiences. If porn made me extremely uncomfortable with the idea, why should I pursue it in reality where I can hurt others and maybe make my situation much, much worse than it is. For me, porn was enough and I'll never do something with a man in reality. You need to separate porn from the real-life and only then you'll see if you are truly into it.

The same thing applies to trans women or lesbians, many hetero guys fetishes them. I did and I'm ashamed of this.

 

Sadly, the percentage of some issues popping up continues to rise. Be observant of issues but not obsessed over them. Be protective but not overly so. I guess don’t let this issue become your baggage man. First thing first.

 

Yeah, especially mental health issues. It seems that as society progresses these problems get more common and are rising extremely fast.
