How did I get here ?

Greetings fellow humans

The first time I heard about NOFap from a friend of a friend who joined (4 years ago) I thought that I would never let go of porn or hell, masturbating.

Yet here I am, so HOW DID I GET HERE ?

I actually dont recall how I landed on this site, it was pretty random. But my journey started, I believe when I went vegetarian six or seven years ago.
Going vegetarian wasnt that much of a challenge and my family supported me, which was awesome.
Since then I opened up my mind for the world and new things.

Im turning 20 in april and have been a vegan for the last couple of months and it was a challenge at the beginning I tell you.
I also stopped smoking cigarettes for the second and final time in my life a week ago. Also I stopped smoking weed daily recently.
You see that I changed alot and let me tell you it was hard. But it was also a great time!
As I stumbled upon this site I remembered what an old man in amsterdam once told me:"when life presents you with a challenge it usually means that youre ready for it."

Its strange cause I really never thought about porn and masturbation and how it IS addictive.
But now Im sure I want to get off porn, forever. The more I read about negative effects of it and compare it to my life the less I want to watch it. Its another cancer in my life I want to get rid of (like cigarettes) and I feel Im ready for it now.
Also I wanna stop masturbating for a while. I dont wanna have meaningless lonely orgasms as a substitute for real meaningful sex.

I believe this may be an unusual post on this site and to everyone who came this far, thank you !

I just wanted to share my story with you and ask those of you who have had similiar experiences to share it here or join me in my quest which I tell you, wont be over after this challenge.

I dont wanna sound arrogant but for me it feels like another step in my life which will make my life more worth living.

Im not fixed on the techniques or the duration of nofap yet, still figuring out what would work best. But I figured an AP would be nice so check out my post in the AP forum if youre interested.

Lastly sorry for the long post but it felt really good typing this down. I hope we all can reach our goals in life!
