How do u deal with that urge to finish an unfinished video game?

It is difficult to stop something that is not finished, in the same way it is difficult for a porn addict from masturbating once they are midway through masturbation, or for a drug addict to stop halfway through a line of cocaine, so it may be best to get it all out of your system, that way once that moment has passed you won't look back and feel as though you have unresolved issues.

To stop gaming entirely is so much more complicated though, to this day I still feel the urge to play or watch games. I believe the best way is to keep yourself entertained, after all wasn't the main motivator for gaming because you were bored in the first place? so replacing it with a hobby or an interest (that is healthy) will do wonders in terms of waning you from it.
