How do you avoid insomnia (> 10 PM) ?

The screen devices along with the wireless technology is keeping me up so often sadly recently. How do I get to sleep well on time before 10 PM 7 nights on 7 ? I need that sleep !! I can wake up at 10:30AM every morning due to my job being on afternoon until 9PM and current 'vacation'. But the morning I plan to grind for freedom with all the tools I got.
 
Turn off the smartphone and the computer and the TV around 8 PM. Spend the remaining two hours doing something that does not need a screen. Reading is the most popular option but there are others; I for example like to play the piano, it's just me, the piano and a big book with sheet music. Hope it helps.
 
Thank you. The irony is that I'm reading an "e-book" recently, almost finished, it's about online business. But I do have others maybe more comprehensive ones on paper as well! I plan to sleep at 9PM. It made me unbalanced and hurt my hygiene, but I'm getting serious now. Sleeping time is not to be taken for granted ! I mean melatonin is important lol
 
I heard a cold shower the evening put your body's temperature adequate for sleep. I already work currently at a very physical job (though less now that I'm managing a little), and every time I take the hot shower I feel somehow rejuvinated and not in the mood for sleep as I was before I took it.

Do breathing exercises daily
 
Sleeping on a regular schedule will help. Make sure you're working out regularly and not eating too late.
